Believe it or not this is actually where I started in the Manga. Back when I was first getting into Anime/Manga. It was in an issue of Shonen Jump. So for me this arc kind of holds a special place in my heart.

Episode 67 is appropriately the beginning of the end. We're officially over the halfway point and into the back half of the anime.

This is a great calm before the storm type episode. There isn’t much onscreen action in this or the next few ep’s but they have great character moments from the main cast and really cool atmosphere. Just look at the color in the afternoon sky and the long shadows cast by the kids when they confront Yusuke. Good stuff. This coming arc MIGHT be my favorite of the whole series. Also alway laugh a little when Yusuke jokes about making out with Botan, it’s sort of amusing whenever one of the boys acknowledges how hot she is.

Most of the hate is on rewatching them. Thrillers and mysteries lose a LOT of luster when you've already seen everything. Granted seeing someone else react for the first time will be fun, but not as enjoyable as when you get full blown fun rewatch nostalgia and the reaction.

i like these eps personally. don't get the hate. these eps have a lot of mystery and intrigue for the setup. feels like a thriller.

I actually don't find these episodes boring at all. I think the music does a great job of keeping you on edge when we come to these new powerful people. Honestly, in the next few episodes we get some create character pieces by our main quartet and Botan.

Ughhh honestly I usually skip these episodes when I rewatch, when this arc comes to a head it's a GREAT arc... But the starting buildup is slow and annoying when rewatching. Things are ok the first time due to surprise but the psychic 'battles' are much less fun to rewatch than hiei throwing dragons :/
