AZULA MIGHT BE A BITCH, BUT SHE’S DEFINITELY A BADASS! - Avatar S2E8

Zuko's sister is clearly a bitch, but she also backs it up with some intense badassery! She's gonna make things VERY interesting going forward!

AZULA MIGHT BE A BITCH, BUT SHE’S DEFINITELY A BADASS! - Avatar S2E8

Toph: "It helped me." Iroh: "I'm glad." This takes on a new meaning once you finish both series.

As I said in one of the other vids of this, "Looks like got ourselves here a Mexican Stand-Off, only we ain't got no Mexicans"

The Gimpster 101

I agree. Given his history with basically everyone around him I don't think the thought that Katara would actually want to help ever crossed his mind. Especially since he tried to catch Aang several times and hurt them or their allies in the process.

Altariel

Azula will forever be a fav character in any show including anime.

One detail i like about Toph is that due to her blindness she doesn't respond to other people by looking at them in the face. She gestures toward them with her hands and doesn't bother to turn her head toward their direction that much when talking.

"One scary little sociopath" is about as perfect a description there could be for her! :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

Not missing that at all... I just believe the two are intimately tied together.

Curtis you are right about Zukos character but I feel like you’re stillMissing the fact that while yes he does want his father’s acceptance he also just wants to return home to his nation the nation that he was supposed to rule one day The place he grew up

4:31, your expression looks exactly like mine when I first saw Katara's scary woman face, lol.

It took five benders, four of which could easily be considered Masters, two of which are Iroh and the fuckmothering Avatar...just to *inconvenience* Azula. She is one scary little sociopath.

Uhm it actually turns orange as it cools down cause it's hotter than orange fire, so i would indeed call it special fire(well technically would it be just significantly hotter normal fire, but that makes it kinda special imo).

gunchar

I will always love the little detail that Azula's fire turns back to orange when she isn't actively bending it. It's not that she has special fire, it's that her control of it is that precise and powerful.

I don't really think it was pride that kept Zuko from accepting the group's help, it was anger and panic. He was angry at Azula as well as himself for letting Iroh get hurt, and he was panicking because of... well, you know. He only ever saw the Avatar group as enemies, and no way was he about to risk letting an enemy, a bunch of people he didn't trust at all, near him. After all, an enemy is who struck Iroh down in the first place. He was feeling so much at that moment, he wasn't thinking straight. I really get why, at that instance, he reacted that way.

She's very well written. I've considered doing a breakdown on what exactly makes her such a great antagongistic character. Essentially it boils down to her having fully fleshed out characterization, complete with the flaws that become more apparent later along with the style of that characterization.

Cetacean Needed

Just finished up, and I can’t believe I forgot how much I love this show. It helps too, watching it as a reaction, because I get to sort of see it through fresh eyes. Doesn’t really feel like I’m rewatching it, but like I’m watching it for the first time.

I hate Azula. But I love Azula too. One of the best villains on any show ever.

Chris Peacock

My timing on these is getting great.
