Alabama doesn’t really have swamps, just absurd humidity and a lot of unfortunate stereotypes. For swamps you can go to central Florida or south Louisiana and they have pretty much the same unfortunate stereotypes. I was born in Louisiana and raised in Alabama so I can say with certainty that there are people who live up to the stereotypes, but they are definitely in the minority.
