Kid Goku is what most acts like Luffy (which might more DB inspiration or simple coincidence). Goku as a kid is just then discovering the world around him and is oh so curious about it. This is similar to Luffy’s easily excited nature (or wherever you’d call it) as he continues on his adventures. Luffy is similar to Goku because at heart he’s a child while Kid Goku is a child though he later becomes a child at heart when he grows up. A scene that comes to mind is when he finishes training for his arrival on Namek. As he learns the new capability of his body and begins banging on his chest saying he feels light as a feather all while laughing his ass off. Luffy and Goku’s childish nature might be a character element which could bring them together quickly if they were ever to meet up in a single study.

I still can't understand how you have patience to watch these 1 per day. When I started, I pretty much binge watched like 8+hour/day until caught up, wherever the story was at that point...

Just some side info, Humans in OnePiece can range from 3ft to like 30ft tall, and hav a life span of about 140-160yrs (exp. Roger was 9ft tall when he died), and Giants range about 40ft+, and hav a life span of about 400+ yrs. ( there are exceptions to this that will eventually be met in the series. )
