Oh as for your question early on. I'm pretty sure Luffy has regular organs when it comes to humans in One Piece. He has red blood and veins just like us. He's essential as human as Nami, just with a devil fruit. I believe only his muscles, skin and bones are made of rubber.

Up until the end of the East Blue saga Oda (the writer/author of One Piece) basically decides to challenges himself to make each main antagonist even more despicable and horrible than the previous one. If you hate Don here you just gotta wait for the next Antagonist.

i hate and love at the same time how they are handicaping luffy cause if they didn't fights would be over in like 5 mins at least in the east blue.

Dude, if you think this fight is awesome, wait for what is to come, I think One Piece has the best fights in Anime. (imo even better than DBZ and ofc DBS) And I love how Luffy talks down to his oppenents, who don't fight honorable or for an honorable cause.

Don't remember if it was ever really pointed out, but I do believe Luffy being rubber has made him resistant to explosives, but definitely not impervious. Also you asked about his lungs being rubber, EVERY part of him is effected by his devil fruit. In a Q+A, a fan even asked Oda if Luffy could stretch his dong, and Oda replied that he could stretch everything lol

Day 27 of my oath: I a 22 year old man do solemnly swear to mention how many episode we are away from catching up to one piece on every single episode that Curtis reacts to and I do not care how long that takes. And on that note: We are 850 away from catching up . BTW last night me and my cousin were talking about one piece and theorizing about how it could end, and what they could do to make it satisfactory. but here is the thing I've been watching one piece religiously for 13 years, and still imagine myself 30 and having kids watching one piece, and it hurt thinking that a day is gonna come where it's done. and it hurts a LOT. but getting the chance to watch this again with you and these awesome assholes is great. so thanks for the hard work Curtis
