Our pal, Raegan Rutherford, is considering sponsoring a new series as a GOOSHER 100 member. She has 2 series under consideration. She asked for my preference, and you guys have said good things about both and I'm undecided, so she asked me to poll you guys as to which one you'd prefer.

Inuyasha is an eternal classic, Akame Ga Kill is kind of meh but not terrible.

We're talking 1 episode a month content here, which means it would take him over 10 years to finish Inuyasha it's way too much time. It's better suited for daily content. It'll probably get voted in for that at some point.
2019-03-27 14:56:56 +0000 UTCI think AGK will be the right choice since it's a bit shorter. Also the dub is one of the worse ones out there...especially when you watched it three times in sub before. It is kinda like an edgier FMAB. kinda.

2019-03-27 04:34:06 +0000 UTCI mean it's long, but you could cut out at least 30 or so episodes of filler. Bringing it to around 160-ish altogether. Fantastic series, but it does drag a bit. Akame is a bit better fit, considering the amount of episodes. Though it would be entertaining to see Curtis check out some of the first few episodes of InuYasha at some point.

If I remember correctly Inuyasha is close to 200 episodes long and Akame is only 24. As much as I think Inuyasha is great i'd rather watch it in the regular format rather than Goosher.

Rushed storyline which breaks off from the manga (for worse imo) with characters being introduced and killed off and left and right before we even have a chance to connect with them. It's melodramatic teen bullshit one minute and admittedly awesome fight-scenes the next, but I don't think the latter is worth the former.

2019-03-26 16:32:59 +0000 UTCGlad to see it so split, means i was justified in not being able to pick lol, im even more split now with some very good points being made such as the episode counts of them both, inuyasha has a special place in my heart, it was my first ever anime, and for most my life my favorite, and such a must see classic, that said akame ga kill was the first anime i finished while it was being made and is easily my fave dark anime, cant wait to see what you guys pick in the end
