As far as I remember, this show doesn't ever have any after-credits stuff, so you don't need to worry about that. The next-episode commentary is sometimes a bit funny, but you don't miss much by not watching it.

This first arc does make it hard explaining to a friend what its about. Since its starts as a "bring me back to life because people do care about me" thing which turns into the adventures of "Spirit Detective Yusuke Urameshi" most of the way through.

Yeah yusuke and kuwabara live in a rough neighborhood but that one guy did say it wasn't right to mess with the mentally ill and his buddy by not going after yusuke pretty much agreed so I'm pretty sure if the music starts after the episode ends it's a preview so you can skip right towards the end immediately to check as soon as you hear you won't miss anything

Damn either dear old Mom was really liquored up. Or she's got a thing for crossdressers that she hasn't been telling her son about. (Also I see you Western censorship, with the property insurance line. In the Manga it's pretty much stated that her pimp paid for it). And yeah while Yusuke is called a Spirit Detective. In my experience he does very little detecting. It's more like he's the Spirit Troubleshooter.

Yeah. I'd say Yusuke is less of a detective and more of an enforcer. But it's a job thats perfect for him.
