I feel the same way. There is a reason he tosses them out instead of killing plus that look back. Everything he does also pushes his son away from him and on the right track while proving his son loyalty is with the navy and not him which would probably have been in doubt. That said he is still an abusive asshole

In the manga the cover of each chapter has a drawing. Sometimes fan requested drawings or some other stuff and then there are cover stories. A single panel nearly full page drawing where over the course of 20-40 chapters each cover ends up covering a story of a character or characters from around the world of One Piece that we have met along the way but have left behind due to the nature of the Strawhats going island to island.
