Fun Fact: In the One Piece world, the Red Line (mountain wall) encircles the globe longitudinally and the Grand Line encircles it latitudinally. Because of the geographical set-up of the world, the two lines intersect twice, once at Reverse Mountain (where Curtis' current anime arc is taking place) and again at the home of the bubble heads (where the up-to-date viewers' current anime arc is taking place).

Going up a mountain is just the beginning. One piece is absolutely FULL of insane and impossible settings. When oda wrote one piece, he really did create the greatest adventure story ever.

Yeah I agree, most of the fillers are decent and some like G8 are really good, in fact, G8 is better than some main arcs for me.

We will be voting for the G8 filler arc and I'm pretty confident around 75% will say watch it.

I honestly hope Curtis goes back to watch all the filler once he's caught up with the series in a few years. Some filler arcs can be entertaining, and they'd help fill the void of waiting a full week for a new episode.

The part with the guy on the ship was very much filler. The strawhats have not killed anyone or done something as likely to kill someone as this (at this point at the very least) so ignore that! It didnt happen, its disturbing that they would put something like that in...

Honestly Curtis would have liked the filler. This is his favorite show now. Going forward he should just watch every episode including fillers. There aren’t many and all it does is add more to the adventure, which is what he loves. In terms of “plot holes” we already confirm or deny specifics to each episode for him. Additionally the troubles with voting whether or not to watch fillers is flawed since a significant percent of people will just vote to skip filler because they want to get to their show. And they likely have little to no knowledge about the actual filler. Better to have him watch them for himself and see how he likes them than pass up filler because of a vote influenced by many people who don’t even watch the OP reactions.

Idk why so many people complain about the filler, it's not bad. Curtis would have loved it.

As someone who's been skipping the fillers and am up to Water 7, i have not been confused by a single thing so far, the only piece of info that i actually ever went back for was the calm belt thing Nami said at the start of the one Curtis just skipped. Nothing else is necessary and i've heard some filler straight up messes with the canon material so, no better that he skips. Its a long enough series as it is and it doesn't seem like people even want a break. No need to prolong it any more

I wish people would just let you watch everything, filler and all. Since you really enjoy One Piece and the fillers are actually really good in this series! There will be more fillers with canon material mixed in, so it will be really confusing to keep track of it all. Better to just watch the whole show IMO!

Also, funnily enough, that random guy who showed up at the beginning who wants eternal life, is voiced by the same voice actor as Frieza, who also wanted immortality!

If you get the chance, Curtis, I'd go back and watch that filler arc. I don't care what some people say about canon or whatever, I watched it and thought it was great!

Yeah, mostly because it basically sets up the filler in the series, without really doing anything important. It is sad because the actual calm belt story is fun. But the filler happens to add plotholes to the series.

The best thing in the filler is the kama ningen(scythe human) being confused with an Okama(crossdresser/flamboyant homosexual) because they found the same the joke just doesnt translate well though.

I really like how Nami just pretty much murdered that guy in cold blood by drowning him and it is a comedy moment. Good stuff. He deserved it.
