JET HAS NOBLE INTENTIONS BUT EXTREME EXECUTIONS! - Avatar #10

Jet and his Freedom Fighters certainly have inspired ambitions to take down the Fire Nation. However, he's kinda too over the top with his willingness for collateral damage in his zeal!

JET HAS NOBLE INTENTIONS BUT EXTREME EXECUTIONS! - Avatar #10

Can't wait for episode 11

Daniel Lima

I mean I guess that’s an inconsistency? But it seems kinda minor and never occurred to me as inconsistent before you pointed it out.

I jsut noticed an inconsistency with Avatar. Here Katara says shes never bent water she couldn't see. But when Aang almsot drowned a few episodes back (while swimming with the Unagi on Kiyoshi) she bent the water out of his lungs

AceOfSerberit

same. I actually hated the episode becase of him

AceOfSerberit

woman lack logos, they're instincts are easily distracted/ hijacked by strength and power.

pretty accurate I second this

Another aspect of real world situations that the writers incorporate into the series, that being unbridled hatred towards another nation. I suppose an example of this would be after World War 2 with all the racism towards the other Nations that you've been at war with for years. Remember Mr. Godammit Curtis that this is only half way through Season 1, you still got 2 and a half more Seasons to go.

The Gimpster 101

"Mrs.Pretty i dont feel so good"

Now all you gotta do is get through next episode (the only mediocre episode in the whole show in most peoples' opinion) and the rest of Book one is pretty much just non-stop goodness. Then Books 2 and 3 make Book 1 look like kids' shit. Which I mean all of it technically is, but still, you get my point. It only goes uphill.

Good point!

You tried to save an earth kingdom old man and you get snitch, you try to save a fire nation old man and he’s got your back. They’re alout of situation of this where two perspectives classes and because of that, we see the dark side of this show. Can’t wait when katara and Aang go through the same situation as Jet.

not all fascists are Nazi Germany. Plenty of other examples throughout history.

Jet: "You're too late." Katara: "What are you doing?" Jet: "You should've gone for my head." Jet: [whistles]

Try not to forget about some of the characters that show up in an episode.

im glad you dont completely dislike Zuko i love Zuko my fav character <3

Will

12:20 I didn't know girls "insticts" were between their legs

I hate Jet. The character, not the episode. Just something about him rubs me the wrong way. And I mean from his introduction. Not just after we find out he will go too far.

Chris Peacock

I always loved Jet's attempt at gas-lighting of Sokka with the old man. It didn't work on Sokka, but it did get the desired effect on Aang and Katara. It just showed exactly how far he was willing to go to manipulate those around him.

The Fire Nation is akin to Germany in WWII. Most of the higher ups are corrupt and evil, most of the grunt soldiers are just following orders, and most of the civilians are brainwashed, or too afraid to speak out.

GoldArthur

Earth kingdom old man was a snitch, while the fire nation old man actually herlped out.

Soulley

to be fair, fat Buu wasn't really a villian, he was babidi's lacky and then a good guy pretty soon

Chrome

You just never know what to expect from those old men, right?

Kyle Bryant

Jet is basically the person who hates a army of a nation so he wants to kill everyone in the nation including innocents and children. He is chosing to punish everyone and not just those who are causing the trouble.

PKKite

I thought Fat Buu in DBZ was your first favorite villain.

Denickart

Yeah the major problem with jets way of thinking is treating the situation as if everyone in the Fire Nation is inherently evil. Or that taking out one evil is worth the sacrifice of innocent lives. It's easy for some people to make that choice when those lives aren't people you're personally close to. And unfortunately we see real life examples of that same mindset
