I've never really found it to be a major issue when i remember things, I enjoy the relationships in the moment for the value they provide sometimes it connects later on but sometimes it doesn't. I think if it true changed the base of the story or even some of the main relationships throughout the story your point would be very understandable. I think it depends on what you value in this story, i personally value the relationships, stories, and interactions between characters so the discrepancies don't matter as much to me. That is my two cents on the topic.

I know it was a joke but sanji is 19 so if she was his baby momma looking for ten years he would have been 8 or 9 so somehow I dont think it's likely also if you didnt know nami is 18 usopp and luffy are 17 sanji and zoro are 19 and the next nakama is 15

I'm sick of these debates over what is canon and what is not— the show is good either way. Non-canon =/ do not watch. I watched the filler arc we're skipping and thought it was a great story. If I'm watching an anime nearing 1K episodes, I'm ok with a few inconsistencies.

Could someone give him a list of filler and none filler episodes and if a big enough misunderstanding arises we can point it out? I dont like being the "its non cannon, ignore this even though you enjoyed it, never happened, manga is much better hohooh" person. The One Piece anime is fun, but they do take some creative liberties here and there🤔 And now, I shall shutup!^^ Or actually, Curtis, whats your opinion on this question? I'll respect whatever you want since hurting your enjoyment of the show is hardly what I want. If something happens in the show that is or might be inconsistent with later episodes, characters or such, would you like us to point it out?

Reminder: Smokers connection to Roger is filler and will never hold significance nor be referenced after this point This goes for Smokers little quabbel and meeting with Luffy prior to this and should not be taken as speaking for his character or abilities Personally I think that scene contradicts Smokers character but thats personally

Not really... this makes other events with Ussop's marksmanship more believable... he realizes here he's better than he thought. Without this him suddenly being amazing at a distance seems like less of an aspull. Until now he hasn't targeted anything at such a long distance before... despite being a sniper he's fought at more of a mid range. Edit: Also he did abandon Zoro while he was tied up, injured, and sailing into Arlong Park... so there's that for him being honorable... you could even argue THIS is why he becomes more honorable later...

and none of this will ever affect anything ever again, that's one of my main issues with filler usually, nothing setup in filler will ever actually affect the series again, this was based on ideas Oda had for logue town, but it was scrapped for time so it's better than the average one piece filler, but it still makes Usopp seem like a piece of shit, between how he acted towards Daddy and Nami, in the series Usopp can be really cowardly and even though I don't like his character, he'd still usually be far more honourable than this

It's based on the Loguetown novel which contains ideas from Oda which he wanted to include but couldn't fit into the manga (he wanted chapter 100 to take place in the .. you know what)
