And many say the dub is better becuse blander characters were given more personality with the dub actors take. And the characters feel more real because of this.

Just a heads up the team they're currently fighting is made up of guys who get their gimmicks from old Japanese. (Really the Japanese equivalent of Fairy Tales). Momotaro is aping the hero of the same name. A boy who was born from a peach that fought a band of demons. With the help of a talking dog, a monkey and a pheasant he shared his millet dumplings with.

I can appreciate the fact that dubbing can (and should) have the freedom to change stuff from the original to appeal and sometimes make something make sense to an audience that is not (in this case) japanese. But I think this one has gone a little bit to far in most episodes, with most of the carachters. In the case of Yusuke and Genkai, yes, they call each other names, but not all the time like that, just for the heck of it. In some instances in this anime we've lost nuances that would help building more meaningful relationships between characters. Some other times (like with Koto, the fox judge) the character's personality is completely distorted. I can understand this is probably an early ("old") dub, and that many things that were done on YYH maybe not happen on more recent animes, but I can't help but feeling sad that we loose so much because of this. Well, I guess this would only mean anything for people who have watched it in the original, and I am glad Curtis is enjoying the dubbed version.

I love the narrater at the end of the episodes. gets you really excited for the next episode.

I love the colours with Yusuke and the cave, with him rendered in Orange and the cave is blue. It really makes it visually stunning, I'm also thinking it might be a reference to Castlevania as those shades are near identical to CV1's pallet, and given that that games main premise is demon hunting it seems plausible
