My favorite thing about this Arc is that Luffy really didn't know anything because to him it didn't matter. All he needed was for Nami to ask for help. And once she did. It was only a matter of time.

I think this next filler is pretty fun but whether filler is good or not depends on which filler arc is being watched. Some is good and other aren't good.

I see, like in his opponent instead of killing them let them live in the shame of being dethroned and humiliated, and that to them is far worse than death.

One piece does not continue like this throughout, some of it is even better and more intense. This is a really good ark though.

Marines (navy) are really wide group, there are corrupted ones, like the mouse and axe hand (the one who had Zoro captive*, and then there are good ones like Coby. Same goes for pirates, Luffy and Arlong as for example. *technically his son had Zoro captive, but whatever

2 things. 1. in case you didnt notice, those snails are like the telephones of the one piece world. 2. Bounties aren't necessarily a bad thing for one piece pirates. Many pirates judge their success on the size of their bounty

Eiichiro Oda once answered the question whether Luffy kills his opponents or not. Oda has responded that Luffy will never kill his opponents, as Luffy believes that life after a defeat is far worse than death itself.

I think Curtis will see all the filler because to him it’s not boring since he’s literally never seen it, so it would new fun adventures for him, I think he’ll enjoy each episode of the series

Curtis, I would recommend skipping the fillers, they are just lower quality compared to the rest of the series because they are not be the original author, I didn't even know they were filler when I watched the series originally and I was wondering why there were certain arcs that just seemed a lot more boring than the rest, turned out those were the filler arcs.

Outside of flashbacks on-screen death is pretty rare, in a lot of cases that's a good thing four major events down the line

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it before, but where the dub uses "friend" here, the word in Japanese is nakama, which shows up in a number of manga/anime. It has no full English translation but means something akin to comrade, crewmate, friend, companion, etc. They use friend here but it kind of means more on top of that

Such a great Arc! As far as the filler goes, I will say that the first small bit of filler coming up is probably the worst filler in the series. So if you don’t enjoy it too much don’t be put off the future filler arcs! There’s one in particular that is so good that even the author of One Piece pretty much regards it as canon to the story!

Curtis, I would recommend skipping the filler, and just skipping the stopping point too. You clearly love the series, you have a lot ahead of you, and the filler is not good. (It also causes some plotholes later). One Piece does not do filler often, but when it does, it's really unfitting. I mean, I don't think there are many, if any, at the Goosh that want a stopping point anyway.
