It was actually not that long after watching the episode in the shopping mall; that I began to wonder if Megu-nee was a figment of Yuuki's imagination. Great twist. I also like the contrast between Miki's interactions with the club and her interactions with Kei. When you think about it they're kind of the spiritual successors of Kei for Miki. They're people who want enjoy whatever life they have left in this world. Not sit around, feeling sorry for themselves while eating simply for the sake of nutrition. Instead they enjoying their food. P.S. I can't remember if anyone explained this already. But senpai is another Japanese honorific that's used to address a peer who is older than you. Whether that person is in a higher grade/year at school than you or is the co-worker who's worked there longer who's showing you the ropes. Some people in Anime are in love with the idea of being somebody's Senpai.

This is why Megu-nee will always be one of my top favorite female characters. She was very loving and caring of her students and was also very cheerful. For her to go so far as to give up her life, that really gets to you.

Yup Megu-nee is not real it really hit you in the feels when your realize how sad it is for these kids. You have Yuki unable to cope with Megu-nee death and the other going along with it. I would hate the other girls if I didn't understand the situation they help Yuki live through that hell while Yuki boost their morale to keep them going its nice kind of. There also was a lot of hints but the first real hint I notices was in episode 3 with the flashback before the zombie Megu-nee has long hair but in the present where she writing her report she had shorter hair. That confused me cause I was like did she regrow her hair and how long have they been in that school for her hair to regrow back but it all makes sense to me in this episode. I really glad you enjoying this show I really like it as well.

Again: These three episodes (4-6) have all been flashbacks. Yuki’s reality couldn’t have been ruined because it wasn’t ruined in the first episode. Also, that one time when they were in the school shop Megu-nee helped Yuki out.... I guess that really was just Yuki... Helping Yuki...?
