The music is from Nujabes. Japanese hip hop artist. Died in a car crash a while back. He has alot of music on youtube. Also i believe artist called Fat Jon has music in this series.

I will admit that throwing these three characters into that situation rather than just a lone stranger does mix it up enough to keep it fresh. Also gotta give Jin credit for trying to maintain the facade even though he couldn't play a tune. At least he gave it the old college try.
