Quick little correction though, the show stars off in a video game but after Yggdrasil shuts down the main cast is transported into a real fantasy world. That is why all of the NPCs come to life and that is why none of the characters can come back to life without outside help anymore.

Also dub vs sub. The dub isnt bad. Ainzs voice in the dub is actually good fits him well. The problem is the sub VA just knocked it out of the park. Fantastic job. That's the his voice when I read the books in my head.

My caveat for overlord is two fold. One fantastic world building story however that's the LN. The anime hits all the major points but you lose almost all the narration that's constantly going on in the characters heads. Think of it like HxH with vs without the Narrator. Some fights for example in season 3 in the books are 10 pages or more but in the show its 10 secs. That's because the fight actually took place in 10 secs but you lost the reasoning behind it all. That all said it's still one of my favorite shows just if you like it definitely read the books . Number two. Budget madhouse made this and madhouse pretty much never makes a season two. They do pretty and well made season long advertisements for the LN or mangas. They do fantastic jobs at it usually but that's how it is. Overlord was popular enough especially overseas that it got a season 2 and 3. Personally I think this was a passion project for someone and they were only given the budget for a single more season and it was stretched to 2 more seasons and it shows sometimes (everyone knows what I'm talking about) all that said it's my favorite installment in the genre I'm up to date on all the light novels the second I can be and your in for a great show.

We can do more dub, but One Piece definitely won't be. I usually don't have a preference either way, but OP is one of the few where I've seen clips of both and I absolutely love the sub voices. :-)

Its fine if the music played during the intro, Overlord's openings are all epic (and surprisingly don't contain giant spoilers), the 3rd season op is my personal favorite. Now before you really being this series, a few things to note. 1. This is not a story about a hero character, this doesn't become completely obvious until the 3rd season but it is still present throughout the series. So just so you know why Ainz may seem like a dick sometimes, cause hes no good guy (at least not since becoming Ainz). 2. A little thing to clarify about these types of anime, though the new worlds may share similarities or features with the video game they come from, these aren't really 'transported into a video game' anime. They're 'transported into anther world' anime, the places the MC's get thrown into are very real, very live worlds that retain some of the features of their video game 'originals' so to say. 3. The show was adapted from a manga that was adapted from a very extensive and detailed Light Novel which was adapted from an EVEN MORE extensive and detailed Web Novel, therefore there is a lot of details the anime could not incorporate (situations, dialogues, even whole characters) so a pretty cool thing the Overlord community has developed is you'd get people who have read the Novels that can tell you all the cool little details that aren't in the anime, and surprisingly enough they are pretty damn good at only talking about the things skipped in the particular episode you are on, so you don't have to worry about spoilers when reading them. These are very helpful because the anime can get pretty confusing for some people, i'll throw in tidbits of information here and there myself, hopefully we also get someone really knowledgeable in these reactions too. Anyways, i am hyped for this show and can't wait to see you see all of it, you'll love it im sure, its in my top 5 favorites.

When you're trying to pay attention to the video's intro but you start jamming out to the music in the background. I can't wait to see your reaction to this series Curtis, so far it's one of my favourites. (I'm even reading the Light Novels it's based on, so far I'm on about the second third of the first season). Also remember Curtis there's plenty of time to fool around with the NPCs. They're completely loyal and they're not going anywhere. First you need to make sure that no one can interrupt your time with them.

The only thing i am kinda iffy on is whether you will get the same enjoyment out of this when you haven't drowned in the sea of isekai. Some of the things this does is really an answer to the infinite ranks of isekai that we keep swimming in.

Even though I haven't heard the dub, I agree; I really like the voicing for Momonga! I think this ended up being a good choice. :-)

After this series, it might be interesting to compare it to Konosuba. These types of anime where the main character is thrust into a videogame are called isekai and konosuba is basically a parody of the genre.

The sub is the better choice anyway. The dub voice for momonga isn't as good a voice for his role.

most Mcs in anime like this are OP.....SAO...Death March....How not to Summon a demon Lord...that time I was reincarnated as a slime....in another world with my smartphone...among others....But..Log Horizon is probably the only one that I know that doesnt have Super OP Mc's or atleast theyre all OP but theyre their own opposition so it balances out...or something....

Nurufufufu Curtis I'm telling you this now, momonga (bone guy) is op as fuck, I'll tell you how much as the series go, oh and one more thing EVERYONE in nazarick (where there at right now) is extremely loyal to momonga and him alone but you'll see how loyal they are to him as you continue to watch the seties. One last thing don't be disappointed with momonga for not going further with albedo because there is a reason on why he didn't want to go further with her but I'll tell you that on another time. Hope you enjoy the series Curtis I know I did especially the light novel.

Interesting fact the Butler is one of the last rolls that the actor who also did King Bradly from Fullmetal Achemest dub RIP. Also the main character voice actor in the dub is also the voice actor for Cooler in Dragon ball Z abridged which I find amazing.
