As you saw, Curtis. Hisoka is really strong, if we look back we wouldn't surprise he would be this strong. He rated Zoldyck family, Netero, Gon, Zoldiacs, Phantom Troupe and Razor to be worthy for killing. He is really strong because he is the level of the champion of the Heaven Arena Arc and he is one of the Phantom Troupe member level. And Illumi is the simalar or same strenght as Hisoka. They're both seriously strong Nen User.

Also now that I think about it the reason she was requesting fingernails from Tsubone is simple. Killua's last wish had conditions (one of which involved death, while the other was a simple matter) hence why Something wanted fingernails. 2019-01-08 18:16:03 +0000 UTCnot quiet that form Gon had was as strong as Netero and the King BUT thats what hed be if he spent like 10 years training non stop which means he has a greater potential than Netero who trained for like 80 years and at the age of 120 or something got that strong and Hisokas Plan wasnt stupid because he has plenty of other targets we dont know about he was wondering if he should either continue to wait for Gon to grow and fight him as an adult or help illumi kill Gon and Fight Killua at an older age he may have said Kill Alluka then Killua then illumi but it wouldnt of been all at once hed have earned Killuas wrath waited a few years then murdered him then fought a Stronger illumi then possibly Illumus Dad or Grandfather

In terms of ability they are top tier warriors. Not god level like Meruem but they are definitely top tier. There aren't many hunters out there capable of giving them trouble.
