I should mention that I still enjoyed Kittan's screen time even during the episodes I didn't like though. He's been one of the very few characters I've enjoyed post-timeskip.

2019-01-08 18:41:56 +0000 UTCI can't possibly explain how much I needed this episode to continue on watching. The last three episodes I really didn't enjoy, I'm not even going to lie. They felt so foreign to what made me love this series in the first 15 episodes but this one right here is the best one I've seen so far by a mile. It was so satisfying watching Yoko's journey as a teacher and then immediately bringing that Kamina spirit to the battlefield once she got there. Plus Simone and Viral deciding to pilot Gurren Lagann together had me literally saying yes out loud over and over again. I'll be surprised if any of the final episodes make me as happy as this one just because I was so annoyed by the last three I had watched. The timing was just too perfect.
