I'm half joking. Overlord is one of my favorite anime. In fact, the first season is my favorite season of any anime I've ever seen. But just because it's my favorite, it doesn't mean that I think it's the best anime out there. I'm not someone who becomes completely biased towards something. You could say Log Horizon is the best Isekai anime out there, but they're so different, you can't really compare them.

Berserk all the way. While I enjoy Overlord as well, sometimes it's good to go back to classics. Even if Berserk doesn't win, I can wait until Yu Yu Hakasho (my first and still one of my favorite animes) after DBS.

I think he'd get a kick out of overlord which is why I voted for it. However, berserk I feel he would be more wrapped up into with guts and everyone. He definitely needs to watch both but overlord I think would be best before one piece.

Overlord is so incredibly forgettable... How it's currently beating out 97 berserk or even RE:Zero is incredible. I guess some people prefer sexual stuff compared to good stories and characters. I strongly recommend you don't skip 97 Berserk.

BERSERK '97 is definitely my vote. I've heard repeatedly that Overlord starts going downhill after the initial season. I've never seen either before but I've never heard a bad thing about BERSERK from 1997 and like I said with Overlord, I've heard a bunch that the first season is amazing, the 2nd is disappointing compared to the 1st and the 3rd is meh. I could be wrong there of course but I trust the people that told me that.

Nope. Im a fan of both series and berzerk greatness is in the manga, not any anime of it. Overlord on the other hand is an anime comming from a novel, and its better. ( I didnt feel the same thing reading Berzerk and watching it, the backgrounds, atmosphere, gore... its all perfect in the manga, but i dont find it anywhere as good in any berzerk anime. )

I voted for Re: Zero as well, just because it has so many emotional scenes to react to. I do love the overlord series but they really screwed up season 3 with crappy CG which left a sour taste in my mouth regarding the anime. They took what could have been one of the most epic battle massacres of all time and turned it into a meme.

I was really hoping for Re:Zero as it's a bit different than the normal shows he reacts to and would like to see his reaction to it, plus the anime is amazing. But if any show would beat it in this poll, I'd be fine with Overlord.

You do realize he would only be watching the classic season of Berserk because it just says 97 Berserk.

Berserk is a really good (fucked up) story, but I've never much liked the anime adaptations. However, one reason I like Curtis' reactions is it often lets me see something from a different perspective. Made me love some of the later parts of Naruto that I was originally sour on. Might be I'll enjoy Berserk more this time around.

I don't think I've ever seen such a good reactor react to the OG Berserk. Yeah, it's gotta be Berserk. It would be something special. Also, since you aren't too hard to please, you might even like the 2nd and 3rd season, despite the egregious lack of quality with the CGI. Toradora has no chance competing against some of these shows, but very few channels react to it and it has a wholesome feel, so I'm voting for it.

For what its worth I would say berserk is also a masterpiece and a must watch. Compared to anything else on this list it seems like a no brainer. Overlord is fun but berserk is significant.
