I ran into this series after watching Aishiteruze Baby. It's somewhat similar in the way of the male protagonist learning the ways of fatherhood by living with and raising a child that isn't theirs. Main difference is that the male protagonist in Aishiteruze Baby is a playboy teenager and is taking care of his little cousin after the aunt mysteriously vanishing... I can't say that it's as good or better than Usagi Drop, but it definitely deserves a watch! :)

Awesome this is the beginning of a whole different journey for you Curtis. Hope you enjoy it but the only thing I don't like about thus anime is the ending of the manga, its so messed up and weird
