I would be able to understand Rossieu if the World wasn't supposed to end in 3 weeks... Locking up the best fighter on the Planet seems painfully stupid to me but I guess we'll see how this goes. I say let them riot and discover for themselves that what they're bitching about isn't important. They'll shut up real quick when aliens are attacking the Planet ruthlessly.

2019-01-08 14:40:14 +0000 UTCA battle of two ideals, a battle of beliefs and customs. Rossieu is just trying to keep a stable government. Simon being himself just poses too much threat to order. People are either Rossieus, or Kaminas. Unfortunately these people clash and make the government a very unstable thing to control. At first I was unbelievably pissed at Rossieu, but through further examination and thought, he's just trying to do his duty to the people of eart and unfortunately Simon's beliefs and ways of problem solving are too radical to show as a positive in the community. He needed to show this as irresponsible and show people are responsible for their actions. Can you even imagine the pressure on him right now though? It's a hard see I know but in the end, both ideals can;t exist indefinitely alone. Their needs to be balance. Like drilling a hole, you need to be straight, balanced, and forceful.

2019-01-02 07:23:04 +0000 UTCYeah like what a lot of the comments say Rossiu would be the one you follow in our universe but in GL excuse my language but fuck logic if needed then Simon would punch a hole through time and travel to the past and then make friends with a dinosaur that will follow him to the future and gain super powers that will let it power up Gurren lagann further. Considering the type of show this is that is pretty tame in comparison... ok I have no idea where my mind went just there I just said the first random and insane thing I could and it still isn’t insane enough. But yeah Rossiu I almost feel sorry for you having to be a smart and sane guy in a show where you solve problems by being either crazy or stupid or both.

The world could be ending and we'd still be some of the most self-centred bastards to walk this earth. Also I'm impressed by Rossiu's self-control after being hit in the head by that rock. There are plenty of world leaders (some of whom we might think of as points of light in the darkness) that might not have handled it that well.

2018-12-29 07:16:54 +0000 UTCI getcha, but with Rossiu I can't help but feel that his ego helps shape what he sees as the best course of action. I think he genuinely has humanity's best interests at heart, but his motivations are affected by his own aspirations.

2018-12-29 03:17:00 +0000 UTCI really commend GL for making Rossiu's position both something you hate but something you understand. Even in-universe, it's very conflicting for the characters. One thing I'd point out, though: it's not really a coup when you consider that Rossiu has all the power in his current position. Simon is just a figurehead. When he decides to arrest Simon, it's because he sees it as the necessary (not best) course of action, not a means to get ahead.
