Yamcha was always goofy as he was introduced with having a huge fear of women but nonetheless was pretty cool and strong back in OG DB. In fact, when Yamcha and Goku first fought, Yamcha won! Honestly, I kinda miss the Wolf Fang Fist.

From what little I remember from a Japanese Anthropology course I took, there was a team of high school baseball players that beat a team of Americans (adults if I'm recalling correctly) and became national heroes for it, making baseball a source of national pride for the Japanese and a big reason why it's so popular there.

Gohan's "Don't remind me" always struck me as unintentionally dark. Since he was knocked out when Goku died fighting Raditz, Yamcha was the first person Gohan ever saw die, and he was only about 4 or 5 years old at the time. Wouldn't be surprised if he was traumatized by it. Also, I think Gohan holding the bat the wrong way (and by extension Goku too) is a reference to when Gohan did the same thing while playing baseball in high school at the beginning of the Buu Saga.

Oh poor poor poor yamcha once canon fodder always canon fodder. The only person that loves him is puar. And can we all take a moment and see just how much super saiyain blue is used by goku and vegeta, its even been used in dam baseball match but I'm honestly surprised that gohan survived that. This might be the dumbest way goku has endangered gohans life. Oh and Curtis I don't know if you caught this while recording the episode but as you heard whis and vados say that it is forbidden for two destroyers to fight each other and the reason why its forbidden is because they would destroy the whole universe they are fighting in. Fun fact for everyone did you guys know that at one time the writers of super on a party night where they all got hammered drunk wanted and were talking about making a series solely for yamcha. Interesting right.

The Last time Yamcha got any love was when he Beat up Recoome in the otherworld like 3 hours after Goku had to step in to save Vegeta from being Obliterated by the guy and knocked him out by posing and letting Recoome ram into his Elbow and Pass out...but right after that he got brought back to life after being gone for like a year and his Girlfriend left him for the guy that owned the Saibamen that Murdered him and hes been Sh!t on every since to the point where he doesnt even train anymore...its like he knows the writers hate him and it makes him depressed....
