To be fair we don't know if Dende's healing helps with diseases and such, since it's only been used to heal physical wounds (as far as i know)

It's all good filler, though, with the possible exception of episode 69, which is a crossover episode that's really confusing if you're not familiar with the material. I'm guessing you've already watched that one by now, though!
