I had no idea who this little Bright Eyes girl was when Simon found her, but I NEVER imagined she was the daughter of a king!

On your remark of 'not being able to accuse anime of holding back on killing a character for the ratings', that's not strictly true. DBZ for example has had plenty of that; Vegeta would've stayed dead on Namek for one if it weren't for his popularity. There's also plenty of mainstream manga and anime that simply don't have the balls to kill off their characters (I'm looking at you, Fairy Tail, or Hiro Mashima anyway, who I believe may or may not have some form of attachment disorder). Studio Gainax however... they don't give a fuck. They do what they want, and as a result they've made some truly great stuff. Also some questionable stuff, but hey...

So just want to point out Kamina left everything to Simon, but Simon is doing it wrong. Simon is trying to be Kamina who he feels he killed

you mean add tubes for food air and water in the front and a glory/waste hole in the back so you can carry around a living moaning fleshlight?

Are you using mobile site/app? For big comments you need to split it in two, sometimes three parts as Patreon auto deletes it on the mobile version, not sure why.

Ok I had a big comment right here. I sent it and refreshed the page and now it’s gone.

"What do they want with her?" "She's an unconscious girl in a briefcase, what more do you need?" My thoughts when Nia showed up.

"ARE YOU NOT AWARE OF WHO I AM?" Nia's polite version of "Who the hell do you think I am?!" is freaking adorable.

ArcaneAnomaly

thats the truth! Darling in the Franxx was good IMO though

I realised something while watching, during this episode Simon was very similar to Luffy at certain point. (Or to be more precise, Luffy was similar to Simon, since OP reached that point years after Gurren Lagann came out)

You gotta love the use of color and symbolism here. At first everything's all de-saturated and gloomy (similar to how it was in Rossiu's village), but when Nia shows up the light breaks through and shines on her while color returns to SImon's world. Don't get me wrong, Trigger is great and all, but they just aren't the same as the Studio Gainax that they used to be.

Greatest show ever!
