Super excited to see you watching One Piece. Honestly it's the best written story. If the story telling in Naruto blew your mind, then take some calming medication because Oda is about to turn it to 100. Lastly, I don't know if anyone has told you yet, but the openings for this show tend to be full of spoilers for upcoming arcs. I think the first 2 are fine, but from 3 on they can get pretty spoilerific. I suggest asking the community when the best time is to go back and check them out. Most of the reactors who I see watching One piece will watch them in batches after a while. Just trying to look out for you so you don't get major spoilers about the show. Can't wait for more.

Hi Curtis, I know recently you've been hearing a lot of talk as to what to watch and when to watch it. Remember just about all of us have been and are still on board riding with you all the way. I'm saying do whatever you need to do, cause lots of us have, and will still continue to love all of it.

Hearing Zoro call Luffy the son of the devil is hilarious.

I'm kinda enjoying the prospect of taking this long journey. I think it'll be fun and insanely bittersweet when it all comes to a conclusion. :-)

Yeah One Piece does a good job of setting up this great big world.... and then it actually delivers on that. Even little tiny details come back and tbh I forget about stuff sometimes only for some post online to remind me that they set something up hundreds of chapters ago.

Curtis there will be people who want you to skip filler but knowing you I think you’d really enjoy all the filler save for maybe 15 episodes in total throughout the series. The filler does a great job of furthering the character depth of each main character

Calculation time: So let's say the average amount of episodes between breaks is 60 (as is the case with the first break). And there are 313 days that's curtis uploads per year taking sundays into consideration. During breaks there will be a shorter anime to enjoy and for the sake of calculation I'll say they'll be 24 episodes, which is a pretty standard for runtime. If we watch 4 sections of one piece in a year, there will be 3 break anime in between these of 24 episodes each. So, (60*4 =240 one piece episodes) and (24*3 =72 break anime). (240+72 = 312 total episodes of anime) which is only one day shy of the 313 uploads in a year. So, the average amount of one piece episodes per year is 240(not taking into consideration varying lengths of series in between, or amount of episodes between each break). That being said of we watch 240 eps per year. With filler, there are 876 episodes of one piece, and without filler there are 769 episodes. So far the final calculation shows: w/ filler: 3.65 years w/o filler: 3.20 years We also need to attribute for the weekly release schedule of new episodes (assuming all canon and no breaks for sake of calculation) that's an extra 52 eps per year. Or: New eps w/ filler: 189.8 total New eps w/o filler: 166.4 total 240 reactions occur in one year of uploads so this will add: Added time w/ filler: 0.79 years Added time w/o filler: 0.69 years Therefore the total time spent catching up to one piece will be: w/ filler: 4.44 years =1620.6 days Finish on: Tuesday, August 8, 2023 w/o filler: 3.89 years =1419.85 days Finish on: Thursday, January 19, 2023 (I took off 3 days for episodes already watched) Obviously theres lots of error here it's just a very rough estimation, I needed something to do before class lol. Feel free to laugh at my prediction when I'm wrong in 4 years
