ANDROID 17 IS A BADASS FOR THE AGES! - DBS #127

Yeah I personally loved most of super because I appreciated it for what it what was a dbz greatest hits we got frieza a cooler cooler in hit uture trunks a tournament for the ages here no matter the outcome this tournament has been amazing even the existence of female broly which I think paved the way for the movie and first official canon Dragonball film but besides rambling my actual point was I loved super so much actually because we got to actually know 17 and hes just as awesome as his sister if not cooler

To add fuel to the fire since they couldn't bother to integrate Jiren's backstory in a good way in the series after the anime ends they release all the details they "tried" to put in and begin bragging about how well though out Jiren is even though they shoulda gotten off their asses and put it in an interesting and understandable way in the series where they didn't haft to post what they "meant" to do after the fact. (this happens with forms too, there's a reason Trunk's Rage form and Vegeta's Evolution Form were barely explained until after they happened[Evolution was explained but it was done in such a poor and lazy manor that it barely counts as a good explanation])

Now, a couple things about this episode. 1. Sadly this episode is a example of a type of fighting which has given Dragon Ball a very bad reputation despite it not being as common as people say it is. It's the ATATATATAT spam fast attacks combat. Its the spamming of fast melee attacks which normally wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't just one series of attacks set to repeat for the whole segment. This is the type of fighting Fist of the North Star has but with less bite at the end of it and its a bad contributor for the reputation DB has nowadays. 2. Another issue with this episode is how Belmot stops and explains Jiren's backstory to us instead of actually letting actual Storytelling deal with that venture. Especially since Belmot is explaining all this in a tournament with an already unbelievably short amount of time to show us before it officially ends.

I imagine he wasn't just waiting for that moment to attack, its just that he just then woke up remembered the pounding Toppo gave him and threw himself at Jiren since Toppo was nowhere to be seen.

Blood can do two things. 1. Allow us to relish in the carnage that brought us to that event or... 2. Show real damage to a character weather it be a serious injury or not. Due to Super's release time back when it started it wasn't allowed to showcase a whole lot of blood. However the moment with Jiren would of been a good use of #2. If we are to believe Jiren's actually been "wounded" Cloth damage and a few black scratches aren't enough to make it look like he's actually taken real damage. If that spot was dripping with blood or was just a little red but not quite bleeding it would have felt like a better moment to me.

17 has come a long way from the guy he was in his debut. It's really cool that his family has caused him to grow so much, to the point where he just wants to use his wish to spend time with them

Agreed. I think 17 was genuine with his wish. It was really cool to see his progression, and his embracing of the human side of himself.

I actually really like 17 and Jiren's conversation. 17's wish seems like a gag, but if you think about it, his backstory probably has more enough bad stuff in it to warrant a pretty good wish to change it, but instead he's more interested in the future with his family. He didn't even think about the past, unlike Jiren, who presumably has been totally consumed by it.

17 is the MVP, no doubt. Forget your Goku's and your Ultra Instinct and your Vegeta "never going to quit" attitude. While all that has indeed been critical to get this far, 17 has been by far the most resourceful!

the thing i love about vegeta is that no matter what , your getting a final flash filled with shit talk if your stronger ,weaker or even equal to him if he dosnt end you with his strength hes gonna end your feelings at the least ! i also liked how they wrote 17 making him out to be more than an android he actually has emotion and is showing it in his own way , pointing out peoples human side in earlier episodes and also how he reviewed himself in this episode .... soo soo good also more DADADADADADADADADADA please i love that shit !!

You know, Goku might be the one with Ultra Instinct, but I like that after all the shit he's been through in such a short amount of time, Vegeta's the one that's still standing while Goku just collapses immediately after getting up.
