IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH ME THAT I ENJOYED WATCHING THESE BEATINGS?! - Overlord #33

I actually enjoyed watching these clowns get annihilated. Seriously, were you guys okay with this or did you find it too extreme? I can never tell, as, when it comes to appropriateness with ass-beatings, I have no compass. :-D

That’s REALLY cool! 😊

Interesting backstory about those three elves that the blonde douchebag warrior was dragging around. Apparently were prisoners of war that were sold as slaves, they had their pointed ears cut off and douchebag warrior used them as shields and to enhance himself in battle, he apparently also abused them sexually. Fortunately after this Ains apparently spares them because they didn't invade Nazerrick of their own free will, rather being forced by their master.

Andrew Brough

That is some quality, imaginative torture! πŸ˜„

Spaz Boys Comedy

You do know that graverobbing is a crime though?

ErikArts

Lol those poor criminal bosses being eaten alive while be healed to be eaten alive again and again really sucks. A later book calls it the Baptism lol

Sean Nelson

Yes they were given to the elven twins who didnt really know what to do with them. So they lived on as part of project Utopia which is kinda going on in the background but isnt really explained in the show. They were spared because unlike the others they did not choose to invade but were forced as slaves. Oh and besides using them as fodder he also used them to get his jollies off. It's why the main worker group didnt like him as you'd imagine.

Sean Nelson

I had similar experience with this story in both the LN and the show. It was hilarious. Only one part kinda sucks and that was the end of the next episode and what happened to the two

Sean Nelson

I am loving your reactions. This is the point where the third season really gets full of awesome stuff in my opinion. Carne village was good, but now it is going full speed until the season finale.

How does one rob a place thats supposed to be filled with nothing but mindless skeletons and undead? You can't rob something nobody owns. The request is to explore the dungeon, and anything found within is finders keepers. Thats legit just a job, thats what they get paid to do. From their perspective the place is ancient and abandoned, nobody owns it. Can't fault them for not knowing the tomb is actually a home build to look like a tomb, nor can you judge them for doing their job. They took the risk and paid for it yes, does that make them criminals though? No

Lewd Angel

Sure sounded like they intended to rob it on account of all the discussion of getting treasure no matter what the request was. Just because you dont know who owns something doesnt mean you get to pillage it. Doesnt matter what their intent is. They were willing to accept the risks of invading a strange tomb and they suffered them.

Steven Fechter

idk man beeing repeatedly eaten for eternity... I dont know whats worse

Yuion

As far as I know they were given to Aura for some elven company.

Irimu

As far as i know Kyouhukou and Cocytus are also fairly close alignment wise, they just have different focuses, Kyouhukou is all about caring for his family, which is an important part of why there was no deal, while Cocytus is all about martial honour.

Miklar Sihn

Not just different, someone of the level of THE strongest human we have yet seen, with magical buffs up the wazoo

Miklar Sihn

The guy Hamsuke f*ked up totally deserved it, others too, mostly. Though I could have lived on without seeing the torture chamber scene.

V_VMat

They're not really criminals, whatever Steven says sounds more like fanboyish roleplay. First things first its a tomb, you think they'd steal if they knew someone was living there? Second thing they got a job request and they accepted it, the request wasn't 'rob this entire place blind', it was to explore the dungeon. Really they're all just doing work for money, like anyone else does, none of them actually deserved what fell upon them

Lewd Angel

Such a great and dark series. I'll write another long comment for the next reaction! ^^

Sloopgamer

Aww that's nice. I've always wondered what happened to them.

Batman's Pet Goldfish

A later episode is my fav but this comes in a close second.

Batman's Pet Goldfish

Nurufufufu the greatest and most fair match of all time is next episode

Aidan

I just finished watching the next episode and DAMN!!... Just DAMN!! :-D

Spaz Boys Comedy

That's a good point about Hamsuke... I've always kinda laughed at the goofy giant hamster, but damn, when you see him against someone other than Ains Ooal Gown you realize that he's actually a badass!

Spaz Boys Comedy

Yea, I agree, Steven... The more I thought about it, I got thinking how they were there to steal his shit, so maybe they should have not been criminals! :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

DEFINITELY!! :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

Reminds me of that one mimic in dark souls 3 lol

Zachary Provenzano

Pay special attention to how much gold was sitting in the outside chambers. With no guards around or traps. Seems too easy, doesn't it? That was Ainz's latch ditch effort to let the Workers take some easy reward and run off. But they didn't. They decided to go inside Nazarick to find even better treasure, even though a couple bags of gold would have been enough for retirement money. The Workers fell into a very common RPG trap. New, unexplored area with no random monster encounters and too many items and treasures around? That is always a death trap in most games. Btw, Cocytus and Kyouhukou are friends with each other because they're both insectoid creatures. Even though they're really not alike in personality. Neuronist is who the Sunlit Scripture of the Slane Theocracy from S1 were sent to. She's the same race as Albedo's creator. Just...plus sized.ο»Ώ I think that is my second fav episode so far. The Original Content is a light novel and there are much more details. That's crazy. I love this series and the light novel so much. It's one of the darkest episodes so far. Can't wait to see the next reactions, because this isn't a Story about a good protagonist...……:)

Sloopgamer

You cant scale the amount of fuck in which they themselves are in at the givin time.

Zachary Provenzano

To answer your question Curtis, I actually was rooting for the workers to escape. I mean the guy with the Katana and the Elf Slaves that Hamsuke killed could've died for all I cared. But the one guy who's fancy way of talking was just an act. (Look at that a Roleplayer in real life). And the Old Guy who wanted to use the others as a canary in a coal mine. For some reason something endeared me to them. I would've liked for them to have escaped. But that's the way she goes. Also look at Hamsuke kicking ass it really puts in perspective how powerful he is in this world. It's just that Ainz is way more powerful.

Phillip Ribbink

Thats what they get for their greed. They dare tread on nazerick with intent to loot it. There is no graver sin. The home where he and his friends thrived and their echos live on. The only physical memory that remains of them. And they thought it was a good idea to try and pillage it.

Steven Fechter

Its not too wrong that you didn't feel much for the fodder characters who died, though those two getting sent to the cockroach to be eaten alive, revived then eaten again as well as the guy getting tortured is pretty fucked up. Your reactions to the next episode, and to its background info is whats really gonna count though. Also, as for this episode, you may have noticed the Lizardmen wearing collars around their necks, those are XP boosting collars that were given to them so that they may level up more easily, another one of Ainz' experiments. As for the elves that were with the guy who hamster boi fucked up, it is mentioned in the novels that he usually sends his elf slaves ahead of him to scout for traps and deal with any threats that they can deal with, as well as boost him during combat. They usually end up dying and he walks over their corpses to claim whatever treasure after the fact, so you can see why they weren't all too sad to see him go. Speaking of them from what i know after this, they were either set free or brought into Nazarik, don't remember which but they didn't suffer a bad fate like the rest

Lewd Angel

You know Kyouhokou, the guy with the cockroaches? He was the one they gave the girl from eight fingers that got "eaten out" to.(They say so in the episode) So she basically got eaten by cockroaches from the inside out and then healed so it could happen again for a good long while.

Miklar Sihn

This is both a great episode and very dark. Only one of them actually deserves what he gets, but hell, it is what happens when you go where you shouldn't. But this really does cement Ainz and all of Nazarick as an evil place.

Miklar Sihn

The last words I ever want to hear is that I have to fight Ainz. That would actually be terrifying.

Mighty Snake

that dude in the torture chamber had the worst luck out of all of them also no sympathy for those who appose nazarik

SPOILERS Wait one episode

Miklar Sihn

Edit. Comment deleted for unintended spoiler. I made it before watching the episode just to answer Curtis' comment.

V_VMat

Yea it was pretty disturbing episode but I did find a strange pleasure in seeing them so utterly defeated
