I find Jiren to be an entertaining antagonist, not my favorite ones like saiyan saga Vegeta and Frieza but better than some people who hate on his character. But, I find "the warriors I'm needed for are already gone" my favorite shittalk the protagonists line in the series. shits badass af

The magical girls are definitely meant to be annoying as a whole, but I think whether that rallying scene between Ribrianne and Rozie gets to you depends on just how annoying you find them and how sympathetic you are. I personally try not to look at any of the characters as actual villains that I'm meant to full heartedly root against (kind of hard with the constant shit talking from everyone), so while I do find them to be a bit tedious, I also understand that they're fighting for the sake of their entire universe just the same as Universe 7. In that way, I can't help but be like, "Yeah, you go! You might not have the greatest chance at winning, but at least you're trying your best!"

I think they specifically made Ribrianne and U2 to be as annoying as possible. Although they are a parody on th Magical Girl genre, at this point they are setting her up to be super annoying. Either way, the next episodes are crazy. Especially 116 and 118. Can't wait. And then we get into the 120s and ohhhhh boy.

Now personally I would have had goku been unconscious/resting from ep 111-120. That way we would have had a good 9-10 ep where we could have focused on other fights. I know that means that we wouldn't be getting what we got on ep 116 but honestly Imagine if we got an unconventional team vs them instead. Plus I would have honestly saved hit vs jiren for later and really build it up as a true main event lvl fight

When goku fought frieza for the first time on planet namek. Freiza ended up chopping his body in half and goku gave some energy to frieza to escape the the destroyed planet. That was what frieza was referring to in this episode with the debt being paid back.

Just to clarify: The spirit bomb only restored Goku’s stamina. The UI form was simply something that awakened in Goku ’cause he had to survive the immense stress of the spirit bomb collapsing. Also, Goku gave Freeza energy on Namek so that was payback.
