I always just assumed that Vegeta was strategically choosing to conserve what energy he had instead of giving it to Goku, since there was no certainty that the Spirit Bomb was going to work. And Vegeta had been going relatively hard this entire time, so he knew he would need all the energy he could get to carry him through to the end, especially if the Bomb didn't work, which it didn't. This is as opposed to Freeza, who had been taking it pretty easy this whole time, so lending some energy at that moment didn't put as much of a dent in his reserves as it would have done to Vegeta.

I sometimes get in a debate over why Vegeta didn't help, one guy would say he didn't want to lend energy is because he thought it would be wasted however given all we get from Vegeta is "Damn it Kakarot, im not helping!" so with that dialogue i can only guess Vegeta chose to just... not help. Which is strange considering this guy's Universe 7's biggest threat and previously in the buu arc he suggested using the Spirit Bomb against Buu their universes biggest threat at the time so this is an odd choice for his character Super Writers. (it's also very reminiscent of Vegeta's refusal to lend energy in the First Broly Movie back in the Z days).

1. That revelation that Goku was already using the Kaioken X20 against Jiren scene was ripped straight out of the Freeza saga back in Z. From one of Goku's friends outside the fight saying he still has the Kaioken up his sleeve to his current mentor saying he has in fact already been using it thus surprising everyone. 2. I didn't find it annoying at first viewing but now that im re-watching it as the reactions come through the stadium observers do annoy me with their commentary especially Krillin which is sad since i really like Krillin.

Such a great call back to the fight with Frieza And that Goku was going max then too But no one noticed

Take note at the start..base form Kamehameha couldn't touch Jiren, SS Goku attacks still no physical contact...took SS2 to just to touch Jiren....Then all that after....

The final fight was the big public showcase one.

They did a great job hyping up this fight. It legit felt like a real life PPV match. In Mexico there was even posters and billboards promoting this fight. I even had friends who don't watch anime who knew this fight was happening and that it was a big deal.
