Geez Palm has to be the most fickle yandere in the history of Anime. Also the fight with Cheetu presents a lot of problems. How do you fight something that you can't land a punch on, or even block the attacks of? Hell one you've started a fight with him you can't even run away. The old saying "You don't have to outrun the monster, you just have to outrun the other guy." doesn't work here because he could probably kill you both in the span of a second. I think they were in the right neighbourhood launching an ambush. Unfortunately he also seems to have them beat in the sensory department. Making said ambush useless, so he's got them outmatched on speed, reflexes and senses. (Maybe also endurance given how much he runs). The only real advantage they may have over him is raw physical power. Given his build and the fact that his speed could be used to add momentum to otherwise weak attacks. Of course first impressions like that could be deceiving. Given that he seems to hold all of the cards when it comes to strengths. They may have to somehow find a way to turn those strengths into weaknesses. He seems to take great pride in his abilities (most notably his speed) and follow his base impulses. Just like most of the Chimera Ants we've encountered. So in order to beat him they'd have to use the old pride before the fall.

illumi uses needles to manipulate people, just like he used needles to manipulate his appearance he implanted a tiny thin needle in killua's brain to make him run away from any potential dangerous fight

If Killua had not had this needle in his head, Pitou would have killed him and Gon right there with Kite. So it really saved them. But i understand why he needs to overcome this barrier to move forward and become stronger. It really held him back in his fights against Shoot and Ramott.

I knew you would love the needle scene with Killua one of my favourite scenes. Also the music for that scene fits perfectly was sad when killua was crying and after he had removed illumis needle it picked up into a happier melody.
