I agree. I love Zeno in both versions but I agree. It's certainly not possible to convey while keeping the dub accurate to the animation (lip-sync). "Zenny" is the best they could do.

The translation when Goku is talking with Zeno doesn't really have the same affect as the Japanese. I'm not usually the one to be subs are better than dubs but in that particular scene, the Japanese fits better. When Goku calls Zeno "Zenny" it's just a goofy nickname. In the sub, Goku calls Zeno "Zen-chan." Chan is an honorific in Japanese used to refer to someone younger than you, indicating that you're their superior, by calling Zeno Chan, Goku essentially was saying he was Zeno's superior. I just think there really isn't any proper way to get that scene translated as we don't really use honorific in English that way

I think you'll really like Zeno in the arc after this one. He appears a lot in that one.

Actually i think Zeno is one of the best original things that came into dragon ball though i dislike what they do with him at the end of the series but i'll talk about that more when Curtis actually finishes Super. On a side note i can see one reason people dislike Zeno, his mere existence as being at the top of everything somewhat invalidates Goku's lesson about "There's always someone stronger." Though Zeno isn't literally the "strongest" he is the most Powerful capable of literally erasing universes as he did in the past. There's literally not gonna be anyone stronger than Zeno as he's the king of all.

Before watching this and just seeing the title, rather surprised. Seems like most Dragon Ball Super fans hate Zeno.
