Holy shit! The Troupe is more intimidating than I ever even imagined! When there's a force as supposedly elite as the Shadow Beasts, and The Troupe members play a nice game of cards while only one of them dispatches them, it's time to start worrying!

2018-09-11 19:23:13 +0000 UTCI've always really enjoyed how hunter x hunter doesn't rely too heavily on one single main character to drive the plot. A lot of shonen animes stick to the formula where the single protagonist is the focus of every episode, and is always the one to defeat the important bad guys, and every one else is just there for support. It gets old.

2018-09-11 17:53:46 +0000 UTCIn case you were wondering about why kurapika imposed the rule that he would only use chain jail on the spiders, its because this restriction makes that nen ability more powerful. Hes basically exchanging the liberty of that ability's use for a boost in power. Its a pretty interesting concept which becomes pretty important later on.
