HEROES COME FROM WILDLY UNEXPECTED PLACES! - FMAB #61

Comments

Kimbley's "redemption" is one of my favourite parts.

I didn't like Kimblie much for my first run of this show. But after this moment I see him in a new light. So now I have a hard time hating him

AceOfSerberit

You're one of the few reactors that notice how much Scar's brother affects the show! As a background character his legacy is huge in the FMAB universe. Really underrated

😂

Spaz Boys Comedy

That fight between Scar and Bradley was... disarming.

Miasimon

Man I love these. I've found myself agreeing with so many points and opinions you have throughout the series and I've had SO much fun watching you reacting to this wonderful Anime. It's been great to take the journey through this show with you, it still feels like the first time I watched it. I get all the chills in the right places and all the laughs along with you.

Ashley King

Tears will be shed on episode 62 and 63

Dallas Winston

In the end Kimblee changed his mind and sided with the humans when previously he stated he wanted to see which side won.

Antiquity

GREAT post!!

Spaz Boys Comedy

Considering on at least 100 occasions, I've mentioned how I laugh easier than anyone I've ever known, that's probably not going to be changing any time soon. Besides, anything I miss I see and hear during editing. I'm not gonna stifle my enjoyment of the show because someone might be put off that I was laughing.

Spaz Boys Comedy

Man, you laugh way too easily.... missing all of that dialogue between Pride and Ed.

Zhalterrix

Now we need an FMA:B abridged series that gets this far...

Lust: Uses her embodiment of the definition of Lust to lure Jean Havoc ( the man always talking about girls and girlfriends) but in the end shes the one to die on her knees to a man mustang the womanizer Gluttony: The one who eats everyone and everything because of his immense hunger is the one who gets eaten by a fellow humonculus in the end Envy: fittingly having the power to look like anyone and always talking down about humans but when Ed makes him realize that its humans who he has been jealous of the entire time he commits suicide in self hate Sloth: Probably the most powerful and physically gifted of the humonculus Sloth is always the laziest and depicted with chains around him to symbolize how the sin of Sloth can make us slaves to our own laziness and when presented with his final battle he has the ability to keep fighting but because its a pain he decides dying would be easier (hes also the fasest humonculus to symbolize how much quicker the easier way out is) Wrath: Its ironic that Scar is the one to finally kill Bradley as it shows how Scar was able to set aside his own misplaced Wrath against the State Alchemist and go after the real threat in the humonculus(side note the light that blinds Bradley is reflected off his own sword his tool of wrath is his own demise) Pride: Known as the strongest of all sins and one humans can never completely overcome hence why he is still alive as a baby when defeated Pride is depicted as a little boy to show how easy the sin is overlooked and how sneakily it can possess you Pride is shown using others peoples powers to aid himself throughout the series through people like Kimbly and Gluttony but when he tries to absorb Eds body its that very action that leads to his demise how could he be one to say humans are lower lifeforms then seek them out as help?

Yeah I agree, that’d be a good pick for Friday’s video since episode 64 will be on Thursday.

Once you're done with the series, I highly recommend the blooper reel on YouTube. It's hilarious and I think you'll love it!

Liesmith

Once you have finished the series i recommend watching videos like "The Philosophy and Contradictions of King Bradley" Aleczandxr makes some nice observations about the characters. I know you watched some similar videos regarding characters from Naruto

Nico Sun

Kimbley with that M'Lady at the end lmao

Gigamac24

Kimblee doesn't really turn into one of the good guys, in the sense that he never shows any remorse or regret for his past participation in genocide and murder, even in his last moments. He's more of a third party, acting independently for his own purpose and goals. The only thing he cannot stand is when people act without conviction and contradict themselves. If Pride had decided to embrace his death with some dignity, like Wrath did, it's doubtful Kimblee would have interfered.

Trolldrool

As much as I was rooting against Bradley every step of the way, I do honestly think he's one of the best and most intimidating villains I've seen in anime yet.

Spaz Boys Comedy

How dare you think for even a second that Bradley without his all seeing eye and arms still wasnt incredibly dangerous. lol Can we talk about how awesome bradley is for 2 seconds tho? He should be the weakest hommunculi with no philosopher stone and just 1 soul. Instead he kills his would be assassin in the first episode, makes ed look silly when he pulls his spear out on him. Whips the shit out of greed and his entire crew. Effortlessly forces lanfan to give up her arm. Survives a train explosion over a canyon. Stormed his own besieged palace through the front door. beat the shit out of scar every time they fought except in the end which required an act of god and the collective damage from a platoon of soliders, a tank, another homunculi/kungfu master hybrid, 2 professional ninjas (1 suicide bomber) and a bear man with a chainsaw for an arm. And even still he landed a would be (if not for medical alchemy) fatal blow.

Steven Fechter

At least we could all agree that King Bradley was a badass!

Fuhrer Bradley best amvhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4-tOTG-OrE

Scar could have still killed him while Wrath stabbed him, he just would've died as well.

Mindblown I can't believe how I never saw the Kabuto resemblance of Scars brother haha that's hilarious but no he seriously was awesome no wonder scar lost it when he found out not only was his brother most likely dead but he also had his arm attached to him somehow that's a hell of a thing to wake up to also curious ever seen any Gundam if so thoughts I like robots and the thought of giant ones humans can pilot seems amazing to me but apparently there's maybe a stigma on mecha I don't know I just think giant robots need more love

Daniel Gonzalez

“The Moon is a chick?!”— Yea this calls for you to watch Avatar ASAP lol

Enrico Gratzer

My body is ready, take me Curtis! To your reaction that is.

Tyler

And he couldn't exactly tell them, "Hey, I'm really a philosophers stone and have to go stop a clone from committing genocide against this country."

Tyler

Even half-dead, no ultimate eye, 60 year old Bradley was still so OP God literally had to Deus ex Machina him to even give Scar a chance to strike and he STILL nearly killed Scar without his hands lol.

Polygon

He is nothing if not consistent. Still a psychopath, but he does legitimately admire those who stick to their principles and despises hypocrites. A fascinating character to be sure.

Tyler

I took that differently. I don't see it as him losing his hate and anger; I see it as him being perfectly comfortable with it.

Spaz Boys Comedy

Ba-Dum-Tish!! :-D

Spaz Boys Comedy

And now you see why it was absolutely necessary for Hohenheim to leave his family after he realized what Father was doing. And also, you see that Kimblee's immense respect for those who stick to their convictions goes the other way, too: He hates hypocrisy more than anything.

Robert Eisenman

Also, don't forget about them bloopers.

Your Mom

You weren't quite right about Bradly dying as he lived. In his final moments, he was able to let go of his hate and anger, which is why he looked so peaceful.

Your Mom

Kimblee tipping his hat,as Pride was dying was gold

Yeah that video i linked awhile ago goes into this too about Kimblee. he isint just some crazy person. He hates hypocrites and people who go back on their word.

PKKite

Of course the moon is a chick it has cycles.

Middleman850

*swirling vortex of souls* // *souls return to bodies* // *soul enters baby body// ... ... ... Armstrong: “HELP, I’M STUCK IN A BABY, HELP!”

I was afraid you would cut too much in this episode, I'm glad you went a bit over your limit for this episode!

Bee

The music in here has been right up there with Naruto! And, for me, that's saying something, because I think the music in Naruto is the best in any series I've watched!

Spaz Boys Comedy

Remember when Hohenheim told Trisha he had to leave? Setting up that circle was what he had to go do. Kind of an acceptable reason to "walk out" on your kids haha.

The Smooth Criminal

Connor Brennan

How do you feel about music blending with the scene Curtis? when that baby starts crying then the OP starts is one of my favorite instances of it in anime it also happens to be my favorite OP probably so definitely no bias on my part

Daniel Gonzalez

How is it an ass pull when it was set up so long ago? It's not like this is the first we've ever heard of it. We saw Hohenheim planting the souls in the earth a while ago.

Subaru130

Wow never thought of it that way! Great analogy

Oh, and Curtis, this goes back to what we were saying about Kimblee being motivated by conviction. Like how he was impressed by Ed and Al for their determination not to kill and to get their bodies back, and like how he respected Winry's parents for sticking to their duty even when the war became more violent, and now, finally, when he stepped in and overpowered Selim, when Selim abandoned his conviction towards his pride of the humunculi, and told him that he couldn't understand Ed's conviction to not kill. Honestly, Kimblee has to be one of the best written characters in this series. He wasn't motivated by morality, but instead by honesty and determination.

GoldArthur

BEST... REACTION... EVER!

GoldArthur

And so the most of the sins died. Lust burned by passion. Gluttony eaten. Sloth trying to fight. Envy out of humiliation. Pride was shattered. Wrath went in peace.

ErikArts

I CAN FEEL THE HYPE RUNNING IN MY VEINS

Ok.... so is it me or did that Philosopher stone being place all over the worlds thing seem like an ass pull?

RIP Kimblee. Your psychotic swagger will be missed.

He is one of the toughest, most grind it out at all costs villains I've seen in anime. :-)

Spaz Boys Comedy

I always thought it was kinda cool how even the psychopathic serial killers like Kimblee and Barry end up becoming heroes in their own way. lol

Hexigoon

And THIS is why we like Kimblee!

Matthew Moore

I've been waiting for this notification since i woke up! Great reaction! Hoenheim is a boss ass motherfucker.

Ansley

Never give in and never quit and no regrets that's what wrath is to me. My 3 favorite villain

Aidan

FINALLY I just caught up 😂😅 I've been binging this for 2 days now. Amazing anime.😳
