If your impressed by this dialog you should watch the Monogatari series. Its basically the king of people doing nothing but talking while still being REALLY freaking good.

I guess you could say this was a bottle episode. (Or rather a gate episode). An episode that takes place almost entirely in one location. Excluding getting to said location and leaving there.

This show just mixes the aspects of adventure, comedy, action and darker themes so well and is so damn creative with its characters and their abilities. Its the reason its widely considered to be one of the greatest animes ever. And yes, it does pick up a lot from where you are now, just wait and​ see. I think the next two arcs of the show are probably my favouri​t​​​e, though theyre​​​​ all so good that rewatching it with you is probably goind to give me some new favourite​s.

Leorio opens the first gate after 2 weeks of training that takes place in the next episode. Though in that episode they change it to all three opening it at the same time even though Leorio does it by himself in the manga. The first gate is 4 tons you are correct I messed up on that one.

I just love the intensity of Mike. He looks awesome

I'm not sure how relevant this is, but just so you know, in the manga Leorio is stronger than he is in the anime and was able to open the first gate (about 4 tons I think) right away. Also Mike is pronounced Me-Kay.

There will be episodes where there is nothing but dialogue between 2 characters and time will pass is a flash. The storytelling will go beyond anything you can possibly expect
