Hi spaz boys I thought it would be interesting note that last episode ended with the death of a soldier and how this episode ended with the birth of a baby, they did something similar in the first couple episodes where one episode was showing the extreme side of religion and in the next episode it was showing the extreme side of science (the Nina Tucker episode).

They give him a quick line early then about a couple minutes of backstory. All you really need tbh cut the filler

At the end of the episode it showed three wanted posters. The one on the right was a guy named Yoki. Brotherhood only covers it with a single line (if memory serves), but Yoki was running a mining town until Ed and Al came along and shut him down (for good reason).

For a Military Dictatorship Amestris must have the worst weapon control laws in the whole of fiction. I mean how else does a street-rat pick-pocket orphan get a 1.5 inch cannon installed in her leg? (I think in the manga it was actually a machinegun).

And they're just developing the start of things, until episode 12 is mostly an "intro", at episode 13 the series start to move faster.
