GON LEARNED A LOT FROM BOTH WING & HISOKA! - Hunter X Hunter #36

If you look at hisoka while Gon is arguing with the Ref, you can actually see him throw his bungee gum from his finger to the rock that eventually hits Gon in the face. Tiny detail i missed the first 3 times I watched the fight, but its great that it was included.

Incidentally, that guy with the announcer was one of the main characters from one of Togashi's other series, Level E. In the 1999 adaptation, a character known as Togashi made an appearance in the arena instead.

Ya know usually characters like Hisoka are the type that seem to act perverted but are really not, like their is more meaning to what they do than being turned on. But here.... Nope Hisoka is 100% perverted for Gon. The anime will even joke about it in a couple arcs and it will be both hilarious and Creepy.

There's no need to worry about leorio. One thing hxh does really well is make sure that not every character has to be a strong fighter to be an important character.

Hisoka has a number of People...well pretty much everyone hes ever met...that he likes to manipulate he helps those with alot of potential like Gon to get stronger but Gons Probably not the only Kid hes most likely just the only one we see Hisoka Help since he did travel Halfway round the world just to make Sure that Gon and Killua didnt get killed by the Newbie crushers when entering the 200th floor its clear he goes way out of his way...hes like Orochimaru except hes not looking to get stronger but instead find a way to make his opponents as strong as he is...or at the very least give himself some sort of disadvantage to help out...like losing his arms...and thats why hes my Favorite Anime Character....

Now you'll start to see the next-level amazing writing of Togashi in this next arc (although it starts a little bit slow but still, and not that these 2 first arcs are bad , they're great , but the next arc is too fun)

Any other anime and Gon and Hisoka would have fought in the tournament finale. It would have been the big climax to the whole tournament. But with HxH the world doesn't revolve around the protagonists, the protagonists travel through a deeply intricate and established world. To Gon it was the finale, but to heavens arena it was just another match between two fighters. That's why they mentioned how many more floors to heavens arena there actually are. 10/10 would smash like
