I think the author of this series really focuses on the "show, don't tell" aspect of writing. You can clearly see Kota has a problem with heroes the instant he's in frame. Same with the villains and other heroes they introduce. You have a feel or who they are as soon as you see them, and it doesn't take a bunch of flashbacks to do it. A bunch or animes like Naruto tend to "tell" you too much without "showing" much more.

BTW. In regards to hxh. Although the uber weebs will say otherwise,I think the dub is as good as the sub and it is easier to follow. Hxh has a lot of info thrown at you at once multiple times throughout the series and it is harder to follow in Japanese without watching the episode or explanation multiple times. I would fo with the dub. Just a thought.

My favorite part about this episode is that it introduces the Wild Wild Pussycats and then shows Eraserhead's information during the mid-episode break with one of the details being that he likes cats.

I DESPISE Mineta. Yes there are other pervert characters in anime. The problem with Mineta is that he doesn't take no for an answer and is never faces any ACTUAL consequences for it. You might say Master Roshi has the same problem, but 1: Being a pervert is not Master Roshi's ONLY defining character trait, 2: He was written in the 80s. where most of his antics were signs of the times, and 3. Master Roshi IS NOT A USELESS FUCKING CHARACTER. Mineta provides no use to the story outside of a few jokes, and considering his combat and rescue abilities he should have been replaced long ago by someone more capable like Shinso, who is far more suited to the profession of hero.
