Look at it this way compare Madara to any other shinobi besides hashirama that's strength and intelligence I say it's a pretty big compliment

People say Sasuke may oneday Surpass Madara....but is that really a compliment?...cause they also say that Naruto will Surpass Hashirama....Up till now every fight theyve been in Hashirama has Made Madara his B!tch....and even now that Madaras stolen Hashiramas Jutsus he still has a hard time with him....

I agree with you Curtis, Hashirama is such an amazing, well-written character. He has a goofy side that makes you want to laugh and gamble alongside with him. And yet he can be so serious and badass, which can make you feel afraid if you were his enemy. I'd loved a spin-off series solely around Hashirama, building Konoha and communicating with the other lands more in-depth. That would've been amazing.

To be fair, if you're going at it with a damned if you do, damned if you don't mentality, getting sent to a perfect dream world would probably sound like the better option compared to dying, especially since they don't really know what happens after you die or if there really is a Hell that they may end up in. The only reason to fight back would be if you really do believe that you can win. Well, that or just pride/honor in knowing they at least tried.
