That's not actually true. Kimimaro is of the Kaguya clan, and Kaguya is of the Ohtsutsuki clan. The Kaguya clan and Kaguya Ohtsutsuki don't have anything to do with each other, besides the coincidental name.

Fun fact: We have actually heard Kaguya's name mentioned long ago in the original naruto series. When Kimimaro is introduced, Kabuto explains that Kimimaro is the last living member of Kaguya's clan, and because he has no medical history on the clan, he can't heal Kimimaro's sickness. Now you understand why Kimimaro was so powerful! Lol.
