Curtis you should really watch the Kakashi anbu Arc it's the next "filler" it really dives into Kakashi's PTSD from killing Rin and not being able to keep his promise also you get a little bit of Yamato backstory

If you didn't catch it, this episode showed both Kakashi and Obito gain the mangekyo sharingan, this happened because Kakashi killed Rin, the person that both he and Obito were closest to at that time, like Sasuke got his from killing his brother.
