I find the 1999 Version has some pacing issues especially at the beginning and i prefer the 2011 polished HD animation but i get also feel the nostalgia in 1999 more than in 2011

Yes great anime series here, I personally prefer watching the 1999 version and then switching to the 2011 version when the 1999 episodes run out, but watching any version is good regardless.

Upgraded in preparation for this a few days ago :) had to cancel my netflix but worth xD

Fun Fact: The Character Sasuke in Naruto was inspired by Kurapika from HxH Their Clan beeing slayn and the Revenge is the most obvious part about that Also they are both calm minded, intelligent and their eyes can turn red. There are more similarities but they would spoil

The dub is easier to understand because of hxh infamous info dumps. I also think the dub is in par with the sub. Both are fantastic. But for the sake of not switching like he has to do with naruto starting with the sub is a good choice.

it has like 150 episodes . it is not complete . because manga takes so long and there is yet a lot to happen

I can already tell some people are gonna star arguing about what Naruto was took/inspired by Hunter X Hunter.

I'm just gonna say the English dub is in the middle of the second to last arc (according to Wikipedia there are 148 episodes and the English dub is on 103) so depending on how often Curtis uploads he could catch up to it quickly or not... if it takes 51 weeks for the English dub to finish and Curtis watches one episode per day excluding Sunday like he did with MHA (that actually might be the day he watches new MHA episodes unless he does it on Saturday) so it should take (from my math, if im wrong someone correct me it's not my strongest subject) about 4 or 5 weeks. Yea, no WAY the English dub is gonna be finished before Curtis catches up with it.

You will definitely see parallels between this and naruto. Kishi took some elements from togashi's hxh for his manga. Just remembered this came first.

I've never watched HxH so this is going to be a knew experience for me I'm going to see if it's as good as people claim it to be. But how many episodes is it. Is it comple? Oh I can already tell that we are going to get a lot of jokes from Curtis regarding Gon's name.

Keep in mind Curtis this is the series that was inspired by Togashi’s previous Hit series Yu Yu Hakusho. This series also inspired the beginning of Naruto. And is said to be on par with One Piece has one of the most dialogue & well developed stories in history. Yes I’m hyping it up even more. Enjoy 😉
