This episode is absolutely fucking incredible. I was so fucking scared All Might would die here. Even now rewatching this episode for the fourth time i still tear up at it. When i first started watching the series i thought the USA state names as names for attacks was kinda silly but United States Of Smash was 100% awesome

I can see why you'd think that, but this fight had a surprise factor for me. I was damn certain All Might was going to die in this fight taking down All For One. The "Now It's Your Turn" hit me much harder than anything in My Hero Academia so far.

Personally I like midoriya vs muscular better. I thought it was more emotional and hype. Not saying this wasn't amazing. Just not as good.

If this was any other show than MHA, the fight wouldn't be anything amazing. Nothing creative or amazingly surprising happens in the fight. I think the build-up and meaning behind every punch and action is what MHA excels at, and what makes people love this fight so much. Plus the great animation ofc Hope you don't take this as me coming after you, just felt like writing my opinion :)

2 parts that got me the most was seeing everyone cheer him on around the world, him hearing everyone screaming his name as he stands there in front of All For One. The other, when his music kicks in as he raises his first only for everyone to explode with cheers

Something that's pretty cool is that what Nana taught All Might about his origin is kind of like what All Might told Midoriya at the beginning of season 2 when he told him to remember his emotions from the beach during their training.

This episode definitely fucked a lot of people up, , the idea that we have to come to terms with the World's no.1 Hero no longer having the ability to fight after everyone has relied on him for so long, it's really tough. Deku is a long way off from being a proper successor and on top of that, the gap between Endeavor at no.2 and All Might was just so enormous in both spirit and power. It would be like trying to have Piccolo replace Goku. And All Might is just such a kind soul who has gone through so much for the sake of everyone, I just want to hope that his retirement is nice because he deserves a much better end.

All might may have died in this fight, but we still have small might, that's all that matters

For all the fans of All might and my hero academia and maybe anime in general, all might just fucking UNITED STATES OF SMASHED our feels. I cried the first time I saw this Curtis and I know you almost did as well but you resisted the urge. But they were manly tears

I love how its clear All Might idolized and looked up to Nana Shimura the same way Deku does to All Might, complete with remembering her words during the fight and using them as motization. I also love that All Might's little fake-out punch was totally something Deku would have done... showing that Deku hasn't just been learning from All Might: All Might has also learned a bit from Deku in return.
