DEKU & KACCHAN HAVE AT IT!

I know this is very late considering the upload time but is it possible to make these videos work again? Or are they gone for good now? I was so disappointed to find out i can't watch your reactions to the end while i was binge watching :(

The problem I have with the dub is that the voice actor for Katsuki Bakugo aka Kacchan isn't very good at portraying the actual emotions that the author of the manga/anime intended for his character. In the actual original Japanese you can definitely tell that Kacchan is angry, but his character is also sad and confused. Like AceOfSerberit put it Kacchan doesn't understand why he is so much better than everyone else he feels that people would only be better if they had the drive and will that he had...until he got his quirk and that's then the pride started to set in and he thought it was because he was the greatest. After this particular moment in time (the fight) Kacchan becomes less angry sounding and more confused, sad, and even depressed in the actual Japanese, because he thinks that because of what Deku did all those years ago trying to help him up was him being better than Kacchan and that to prove that point home he got into UA and even beat him by using his quirk. He legitimately believes that Deku has been lying this whole time and pretending to be quirkless and he despises him for putting on the helpless show the entire time. He has no idea that this isn't his quirk, and he has no idea that the power comes with great risk to Deku which is why he is so shocked after he sees him faint after this battle (remember Kacchan was in Battle Center A while Deku was in Battle Center B so he didn't see him take down the giant robot or his legs and arm break as a consequence of doing so). That is my only real issue with the dub is that it makes Kacchan seem more one dimensional when he isn't otherwise its not bad at all.

and that Deku helping him wasn't just Deku being a nice kid (whitch he was) but rather that he was looking down on him. the Deku, the useless Deku, thought that Bakugo couldn't get up by himself. That he needed Dekus help. Whitch we can all guess Bakugo took very poorly. And that mindset being kept for so many years isn't something that can be broken overnight. Even more so becuse he thinks Deku was lauhging behind his back for years like "lol he realy thinks I'm quirkless. Not knowing I can deck him out with ease. What a moron! XD"

just a little something I didn't think the dub handeled that well in this episode. During the blackouts in the flashback when Bakugo was thinking to himself. He realldý didn't seem to understand why the people around him (mostly Deku) couldn't do what he was doing so easly, he was just puzzeled by it. And when his quirk started to develop and the adults started going over the top with the praise too, it dawned on him like a Eureka moment, that the only locigal thing was that HE was the great one.

Kacchan personality kinda reminds me of Vegeta from dragon ball z,VERY big ego and a lot of pride,Vegeta was the same in a sense because every time he got help from Goku he would get very angry and he always wanted to be the best,Kacchan isn't very different

Minoru Mineta is the little purple haired guy's name and he is definitely worthy to join a certain "club."

Such a good episode. Seriously though, not having a quirk is almost as much of a power to Midoriya as One for All. It gave him the drive to take such ridiculous injuries and still succeed where others would have passed out just from the pain. He also formed an obsession with other heroes that led to him being able to analyse and use information against his enemies. One for All is honestly treated more like a tool to use those skills to their full potential.

Just to add to your confusion about the names: "Kacchan" is a nickname. His name is "Katsuki Bakugo", but Deku (Midorya) calls him "Kacchan" because the start of his name is "Ka", and "chan" is a sort of friendly honorific, so Deku just combines the two. At least Katsuki sounds like Akatsuki, so that should be easier to remember.
