best ways to get gigs, find a management company, and approach bigger labels ?

First of all, I seriously appreciate everything you do man! Your videos are invaluable and I always recommend your Patreon to friends who produce electronic music. I’ve got a couple questions related to working with vocalists: - With your melodic tracks, do you typically make an instrumental and send it out to vocalists or write around an existing vocal demo? And at this point in your career are you still paying “topline fees” to vocalists or just splitting the master & publishing %’s with them? - I’m a new producer who only has one song out and I’ve been lucky enough to get a big vocalist in this genre to agree to sing on one of my tracks. Long story short - I paid her / her management a long time ago and was originally supposed to have the vocals in June of last year. Everyone seemed super excited about the song in the beginning, but now I’ve basically been ghosted by her manager and have no clue when or if the song will ever come out. Do you have any advice on how to deal with difficult teams / people in music like this?

Your mixing tutorials have been a huge help! I'd love some more insight on your mastering process- your favourite plugins to use on a Master? Differences between Mastering Heavy and Melodic Tunes?

What are your A&R tips for a new artist?

Christian

How did you learn how to produce, especially mix and master? Did you go to school for it or just use YouTube and video tutorials on the internet? Also the best way to learn how to make sounds from scratch/route sound/ through the different elements of a plugin from an initial preset say through sylenth1? Is it just trial an error until you get a sound you like?
