Dev Update #3 - Alternate Ending for Threshold

We've had a lot of great feedback in the last couple of months about our DomSim: Threshold 'experience'

We'd always considered this module to be the tutorial to the game, a fairly linear introduction to the world, mechanics, and game play, that would effectively prepare players for navigating the range of task, punishment and reward scenes that would come after. 

But... because we are releasing our game in a series of stand-alone 'experiences', as well as assembling a full MVP version, the linear tutorial is a bit of a let down for folks.

We don't want people to feel disappointed, so we've decided to address this!!

Expanding DomSim: Threshold.

This got us thinking that maybe we didn't put enough choices into this experience and so we're now working on an alternate ending for DomSim: Threshold.

The 'experience' currently ends with the player being interrupted while interacting with Mistress Nega and finding themselves suddenly face to face with the giant Goddess, who chastises and punishes them for misbehaving.

Getting to this point in the game requires giving Nega a bloodstone, and once the player is on this path, there is no way back. 

Well, now we are going to give you the chance to tell Mistress Nega no - if you dare!

If you are brave enough to tell her "no", then you can choose to go spend your reward with the Headmistress instead. 

In doing this, we're showing players earlier... just exactly how does the game change when you obey or disobey? 

New content for Nega.

Don't worry, we're still working on new scenes with Mistress Nega, which was the winning request of our poll last month!!

Most of the content is written and I just need to set aside time for another marathon recording session!! Our next update will give you a sneak peak of the one I just finished for the reward scene with the Headmistress.

Adding achievements to the game.

One of the fun ideas we're going to be investigating adding to the game will be acheivements that you can unlock!

In thinking about alternate endings, in game consequences for your behavior, and branching narratives, we got to thinking there might be a fun and kinky way to interact more fully with the game.

This is still an exploratory idea - so we'll write more about it later - but, in the meantime, if you have any ideas on this topic, please share!
