Hey Brianna. This might be your best reaction ever. Fantastic! 😂 Warrior Nun is superb in that it challenges our preconceptions and beliefs. When you said "The church is a scam" I smiled. Whilst I am not religious, the ideology of Christianity is an honorable construct, ruined by greedy and immoral men. It is humans who make the church a scam, not the doctrine, nor the good intention. Mankind needs to believe in a cause, and if that cause is presented well enough, and with viable arguments, believable science and virtuous propositions, then we as humans follow those false prophets like sheep to the slaughter. The cult of climate change is a prime example. It is our responsibility to question the preachings, to challenge the science, and ultimately, question outcomes. Take a look around at today's world and judge for yourself. What is right, and what is wrong. Who is lying, and why? We must do our homework, listen to both sides of the argument, and trust no one until proven correct. You were, initially, (as most viewers were) sucked-in by the handsome man's spin, seeing him as an angel and not as Satan. You immediately equated the Tarask monsters as evil, not as God's gatekeepers. (The good guys) Cardinal Duretti, being a priest, was immediately judges as a bad man, because all priests are evil. That is sad and untrue. The many are tarnished by the few. It is slick presentation and charismatic delivery that cult leaders employ to influence and deceive. Monsters are evil. Nice people are good. Movies support this irrational belief while reality often proves otherwise. Don't judge a book by its cover. As I've said in many comments previously, I have an okay understanding of the biblical story, of how the devil was kicked out of heaven by God and became a fallen angel. Obviously, Adriel is the devil, and the Tarasks are tasked to retrieve his stolen halo. They appear when the halo glows at full power, to rip the halo from the bearer, who is Ava. Adriel must not get the halo at any cost and Ava would be collateral damage. If you are unaware, Warrior Nun is a retelling of the Bible. Season one is the Old Testament, and two is the New Testament, ending at the book of Revelation, which leads to the final great war, called Armageddon. Ava becomes Jesus, and her sister warriors are the twelve disciples, and one is Judas (Vincent) the betrayer. The bible says, John loved Jesus. Guess who that is? The boy, Michael, is full of Davinium. Ava's sword is Davinium, and Vincent's tattoos are Davinium. They all glow when in proximity to the halo. Adriel's armor was made from Davinium, and all of this precious material is sourced from the bones of Tarasks, and this substance "talks" to itself. This is how Adriel got inside Vincents and Michael's heads. Michael designed the Arc, for Adriel to use. Why? Where does it lead? Vincent was corrupted. and betrayed the OCS. And where did Lilith go after the Tarask killed her? Adriel said she'd been to the other side. Interesting! Sorry about the long rant. See you in season two.
