It IS wonderful to have you back! even though this - and I suspect your next 2 or 3 reactions, were recorded before your hiatus. For some reason I did not receive notification last week when this was posted so once again I am a little late with my comments. I also do not like Mum. Great character, but not an admirable “person”. However, even bad men and women can love their children even if they don’t see the harm to them as they are manipulative or using them as potential pawns against their spouse. Lucifer and Amenadiel can recognize this and still love their mother and father(?) much as abused children defend their abusive parents. He doesn’t trust her, but this is the first opportunity Lucifer has had to spend time with Mum. Lucifer disdains his family, but does care for them very much, and now the first being he has ever killed in his long existence is his own brother. He is understandably hurting and guilt ridden, and I assume that his newly emerging feelings of humanity make this even more devastating. The episode’s end contrasts 2 mothers offering comfort and solace to their beloved children.

Luci has killed his own brother to save Chloe and his Mum... what will happen now? As to what Uriel whispered... we don't know at this point but file that fact away until later. These writers drop us snippets and little intriguing moments along the way but not a moment is wasted and every second of screen time has a purpose but they delight (writers) in making us wait. This epic story of Lucifer unfolds slowly as we learn more about who he is and why he feels like he does about his father, God and see how he develops through his connections to and with certain humans and the effects he has on those humans around him.
