Despite the Discord poll...

If you didn't already know, there was a Discord poll asking if I should continue working on macros for Dragon Flight, stop and concentrate on something else, or take a break until The War Within drops.

And the results were...

It was a resounding 'have a break until The War Within drops'!!

So on that note, goodbye; see you then!!

Just kidding, so what will I be doing? As suggested, I will be taking it easy and taking what I would call a break.

I will be doing a few things. I will actually be playing Dragon Flight and not just using it to make macros, lol. I will also be working on learning the new GSE format for The War Within, and I will be getting back to learning how to make games.

With making games, my first thoughts and attempts were with Godot, which in the end will be the game engine I aim to use, but in the meantime, I will be using GDevelop to get my head into the programming thought process. As I found with Godot, I had to keep going back and learning even the simplest things.

So what does that mean for you? There are a lot of things to come! lol

I will be posting updates, things just for my Patreons, and some stuff for everyone. There is no firm answer at this point in time, but that is what I plan on doing, and I hope by sharing this and the things I do as I go, we can find a happy medium to keep everyone happy until the new expansion drops.

So to start things off, I spent 15 hours learning GDevelop and made the start of a game (to learn the engine, among other things), and I would love to know your opinion.

It has a main screen—the game—and an end screen; it has some effects; and it has sound and sound effects. But it is a little boring. I know it is my first game and I shouldn't be expecting a lot, but I don't know if I should keep working on it or if I should start a new one.

Most of the game development community says that you should make a ton of small games like this one.

But I want your thoughts; I want you to test them and let me know what you think. Should I keep working on it? Or not?
