The group approaches the area where the rest were taken quietly, not wanting to alert those inside to their presence just yet.
Naruto was worried for Hinata and Temari; though he knew they could take care of themselves, if need be, he couldn’t help but be concerned.
The site was smaller than he expected, a wooden palisade encasing four buildings, and a watch tower.
It was definitely out of place, a camp more than a town; he wondered what they were doing here in such a dangerous place.
Naruko guessed it was a home base location for expeditions, but they could be monster hunters; or here for certain resources; a camp for bandits or demon slavers.
Naruto hoped it wasn’t slavers, as there was no telling what they would do to a succubus, or a wind elemental.
They decided to scout around first, Naruko and Tenten going one way, while Ino and Sakura went another; The Inuzuka Cerberus sensing something nearby wandered off, and Naruto was soon left alone, except for Matsuri who was sleeping in her lamp.
After he had been a lone for several minutes, he sensed something approaching, and he barely dodged as he was attacked by a creature with a shell on their back.
He noticed it was a woman, and he held daggers in her short fingered hands.
Her leather armour covered much of her front, with straps wrapping around her, holding a metal domed shield on her back.
“I don’t know who you are, intruder, but if you’re thinking of stealing from our camp...” She cried out as she continued to leap at Naruto swiping the blades.
He barely dodged, dipping in to his power to increase his speed enough to remain at a distance.
“Where are my friends?!” Naruto demanded, as he caught her one hand, and parried the second, spinning her around, and kicking her away.
She rolled forward, and span round throwing one of her daggers at Naruto, who rolled out of the way.
As he rose to his feet, the turtle girl was already bearing down on him.
Another round of dodging followed as he avoided her blade.
“Don’t make me hurt you!” Naruto growled. “I just want my friends back!”
“You’re with those dragonkin?” She growled, moving in closer to him.
“I’m more interested in the succubus and the Elemental.” He said. “But yes.”
“You must be a slaver then!” she yelled, making him realise she must not have been one herself, unless she considered him a rival by mistake.
Although her attacks grew fiercer, forcing Naruto back up against a tree, he dodged just as she swiped through the air, splitting the tree in half where he had just been stood.
Naruto, burst with energy seeing how dangerous she was, and two tails appeared behind him, as he appeared next to her, and hit her in the stomach hard, trying to wind her and knock her down.
She was sent flying through a tree, and several feet beyond it, but she landed, and growled at him, barely fazed.
“You hit har...” she grinned, before she noticed the tails. “huh?! You’re a...”
But her words were lost as Naruto closed in and punched her in the face, sending her flying back further.
This one she felt; she spat out a little blood, and as Naruto moved in for another hit, she reached out and grabbed his fist, the impact was hard, and there was a boom.
“What are you?! You didn’t have any tails before?!” she frowned. “Are you some fox outcast?!”
“My name is Naruto!” she said, jumping up, causing her to raise her hand, as she still gripped him, and kicked out in to her chest, kicking her away before he vanished, and appeared behind her, as she passed; his palm grabbed her back, and used all his strength, to slam her in to the ground.
The ground cracks under her, and she bounces a little as she cries out.
Naruto then grabs her by her shell and spins, tossing her towards a tree.
As she is about to hit, a flash of yellow appears and she stops.
She looks up at the taller male who caught her. “M-My lord, this one is...”
“Don’t worry Rin.” The tall, blonde spikey haired man said, as he sits her down next to the tree she would have hit.
Naruto looks, and sees the man in armour that seemed like a mix and match of pieces.
Strapped to his hip were two short blades.
“Okay kid. That wasn’t a good idea.” He frowned. “This is my apprentice.”
“She attacked me first.” He said. “I came for my friends.”
“Your friends, really?” he said. “And you let them walk around such a dangerous area? Or are you really coming after them? I saw the Cerberus. That tells me you’re here hunting beasts. Well, this land is off limit.”
Naruto growled. “What are you then? A hunter? I don’t care if this is your territory, I want them back!”
He looked to Naruto and frowned, something was off, definitely.
Naruto though was just too angry now, the power flowing through him needing its release; so he leapt at his new foe; who then vanishes in a flash, and appears next to Naruto, which surprised him, not even catching any of the movement.
He was hit in the back, and Naruto was sent down to the floor, but he quickly pushed up and flipped on to his feet, and swung around to hit his enemy, who only vanished again a moment before impact, and Naruto felt another impact from behind, sending him forward and in to a tree.
Naruto growled as he got up, finding the man in front of him again.
He lunged up to hit him, but he dodged this time, and Naruto dodged a punch from him.
The man would vanish in flashes of yellow, making Naruto have to change direction to catch up; and it annoyed him that the man was toying with him.
Naruto grew more tails, and they exploded in to clones, and they lunged at the man, who now looked a little more concerned after being so calm until now.
He had to fight them off, but somehow he managed.
But this gave the original Naruto the few moments he needed to gather energy, in to a swirling sphere of energy, and run at his enemy.
The man noticed, and energy burst out of his body, throwing off the clones, before in a motion far faster than Naruto, he too created a swirling vortex, just in time to impact Naruto’s, the two clashing spheres crackling with energy and making them both shaking from the strain before the energy exploded, and sent them both flying backwards.
“MASTER!” Rin cried out.
“RIN! THIS KID IS MORE DANGEROUS THAN I THOUGHT!” he replied, as he got up, feeling his whole body trembling from what had just happened.
Naruto too was feeling it, but got up too.
The man grabbed his short swords, and an aura of yellow energy began to surround him. “Very well kid, let’s do this.”
Naruto’s eyes widened, he could feel the energy coming from him. It wasn’t as intense as Kurama’s, yet, it seemed to give him a bad feeling.
Still though, he didn’t want to back off.
The clones moved up to him and the small force was ready to fight, Rin was also ready to fight too, standing beside her master.
They both ran at each other, ready to kill or be killed...
Until Naruko leapt in between them. “STOOOP!” she cried out.
The two sides skidded to a stop; only a foot from Naruko’s spread out arms.
“What?!” Both sides said.
Naruko looked annoyed, and pouted as she turned to face the taller man and stepped up, she looked ready to kill him too, but instead, stamped her foot, and put her hands on her hips!
“DADDY! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” she screamed.
“Honey?! WH-What are you doing here?!” he blinked.
“Naruko?!” Rin blinked too, both equally shocked.
“Wait... d-daddy?!” Naruto gasped his energy immediately dropping and his tails and clones disappearing, upon realising, this was Minato, his father.
Minato just looked to Naruko, who was pouting at him, before he smiled, and reached out hugging her. “It’s so good to see you, my Kit!”
Naruko blushed. “D-Dad... come on!” she whined, embarrassed a little.
“Oh, come on, it’s been months, let me enjoy being reunited with my baby.” He smiled, happy. He then glanced to Naruto. “Is he with... hey, where did his tails go?!” he blinked.
“Yeah... he is. Or... well... I’m kinda with him, since this is HIS quest.” Naruto said.
Narutos whole body had tensed, as he felt nervous.
“He... looks familiar.” Minato said, now looking at him properly.
“Not often you see a blond fox.” Rin added.
“Dad... didn’t you get moms message?” Naruko sighed.
“No. I haven’t been to the port town in weeks.” He said. “Everything’s gotten far more complicated since I got here.” Minato sighed. “So, who is he? A mate?”
Naruko blushed. “W-Well... umm... he’s... he’s...”
“I-I’m Naruto.” Naruto announced suddenly, sounding nervous.
Minato froze, and looked over, looking a little upset. “Excuse me?”
“N-Naruto. I-I’m your... your... s-s-son.” He replied.
Minato glared at him, not finding it funny, and Naruko could see it.
“Dad... it’s true.” She said, making him look to her, and before he could ask, she added. “He’d been living in the Human world. He wasn’t killed like we thought.”
Minato looked ready to punch something, but quickly calmed down, and left his daughters side to approach Naruto, who looked more nervous, worried he had ruined a meeting he had been dreaming about. He certainly never expected to fight his father the moment he met him.
There was a few moments silence as Minato looked him; every feature.
“...Naruto? My... son?” he mutters, his expression turning hopeful and then happy as he grabbed him and pulled him in to a hug.
Naruto was surprised, but quickly returned the gesture.
Rin was confused, and looked to Naruko, who just smiled to her. “Hey Rin.”

Hinata leapt in to Naruto’s arms as the group walked in through the gate, and he held her tightly.
“You had me worried.” He said.
“YOU?!” She pouted. “Last I saw, you were stuck on a sinking ship, surrounded by giant sea monsters!”
“I told you I had a plan.” He said, though he was acting sheepish. A look from her had him more worried as she questioned it. “Part one was making sure you and Naruko were safe.” He said.
“And Part two?!” she asked.
“...figure out a plan...” he muttered.
“I KNEW IT!” She whined, looking at him teary eyed, and thumping her fists on his chest. “You tricked me you... you... FOX!”
Naruto smiled, as he could see she was just relieved he was okay.
Tenten moved over to the group of Dragonkin, happy to see the missing art of her crew.
“We’ve sent a scout party to the beach to get the rest.” Minato said, “They’ll be safe and sound once they get here.”
“Dad, what are you doing here?” Naruko asked, curious. “We would have been at the port town in a day or two if the ship hadn’t sunk.”
“We’ll talk about that later.” He said, patting Naruto on the shoulder. “It’s time to celebrate, and I would like to get to know my son a little first.”
Naruto smiled, as he too wanted that very much.
After that the group all gathered together, and began to eat and drink with a merry cheer.
Naruto and Minato were inseparable, just talking about everything; briefly his life growing up, being moved around, his troubles, and his plans; finding the book and summoning Hinata; arriving in the demon world for the first time, and his adventures since; meeting his mother, and the growing harem of girls that had become numerous, and the reason for their journey.
“You want master Jiraiya?!” Minato laughed. “I haven’t seen that old hermit in weeks.”
“So, you don’t know where he is?” Naruto sighed.
“Well, he was headed west.” Minato said. “He said he had research to do. I know there are a few demon tribes that way, and some ruins. So I think he may be looking in to some Arcanium technology.” He then had to think again. “Or, he could be heading for some... fun.”
Naruto raised an eyebrow. “Tsunade said he was a bit of a womanising pervert.”
“How is the old witch doctor?” Minato asked.
“Shaman!” Sakura shouted out. “My mistress is not old either!”
“Kid, she was old when I was a kid. But, yeah, she was always a beauty.” Minato smiled, before turning to Naruto. “But, if you wanna find him, then yeah, you’ll have to head west.”
Naruto nodded.
“So, what’s going on dad?” Naruko asks. “Why are you here?”
“If you must know, we’re investigating still, but something is unbalancing the area.” He said.
“Just like the sea!” Ino added. “Everything got intense recently, until Naruto helped my people regain control.”
“Yeah, I’ve been getting reports from all over of demon beasts going on rampages, hordes of slavers coming to capture and train them.” Minato explained.
“I’m not sure who’s financing this, or why, yet. But right now, we’re trying to keep the area safe.” He added before looking to the Cerberus. “In fact, we were trying to find them; we heard a Cerberus was sending the local Hell hounds in to disarray, attacking outlaying towns, but not the slavers.
“Really?!” Naruto replied, and called over “Tsume.”
Tsume looked over, and all three walked over to Naruto. “Yes?” They all said in unison.
“You said you were bred to be made a Cerberus.” He said. “Were you also sent here?”
They all nodded.
“By whom?” Minato asked.
“The master.” She replied, not sure how to answer.
“Do you have a name?” thy shook their heads. “What about why?”
“We were just supposed to bring the packs together and fight everything.” They grinned. “It was fun. But now our Alpha has us.”
Naruto blushed a little again.
Minato chuckled. “Well, that may have helped us out a little, but, there are still other issues to resolve.”
“I see.” Naruto said. “I really want to stay a while and help, but...”
“I know, and when you find Jiraiya, come back this way, and we can spend a little more time together.” Minato smiles, placing a hand on Naruto’s shoulder. “My son...” he muttered, happy to be able to say that.
Just then Naruko slumped over her father’s back. “I’m here too you know daddy.”
“I know.” He smiled, pulling her around to sit on his lap. “You’re not a kid anymore, but you can still sit in my lap.”
Naruko giggled a little. “Always daddy.” She said, snuggling in to his chest.
Naruto smiled, and looked around, happy to see everyone back together again.
