Stand up machine
Added 2022-11-13 20:55:19 +0000 UTCThis is a machine at the Peak center in Englewood Colorado. Electrodes are placed on me to trigger a muscle response and move me electrically.
Because so much effort and breath is involved when I stand up like this, I have to go back on the ventilator to make sure that I am breathing properly. This video was taken in the summer this year, before I started practicing breathing on my own. It would be interesting when I start going back to this gym weekly to see if I could manage doing this on the diaphragm pacer… every picture you see of me not on the ventilator I am attached to a diagram pacer which helps me breathe. I cannot breathe 100% on my own yet

That is amazing! At Health South in Colorado Springs they have a gigantic machine called the Auto ambulator which many quadriplegics use and myself, a hemiplegic, to help maintain and possibly even get more functions out of your paralyzed limbs.
